2015 Star Wars Weekends Pop-up Bar Cocktails

Star Wars Weekends continue at Disney's Hollywood Studios with a whole Empire of special touches to celebrate with. The Disney beverage program even struts it stuff with a collection of brand new cocktails for guests to wet their whistles. We sent out tasters to give a couple cocktails a try and report back, just for you.

Once again temporary pop-up bars are located throughout the Theme Park. As far as ambiance goes, these bar service stations under tents aren't the classiest looking locations. Considering the frequency pop-up bars are being used at Disney's Hollywood Studios, one would think that the Imagineers could take a page from the Food & Wine Festival book and create something a bit nicer that could just be shuttered during the week.

On to the booze! Each of these little pop-up locations offers two of four new brightly colored cocktail creations. Guests can order The Mustafar and The Tatooine, or The Endor and The Alderaan. All of the drinks come with either a Millennium Falcon glow cube or a fabulous mini Death Star, which might be the best part when you consider the $14.25 per cocktail price tag.

Our designated drinkers reported back that The Tatooine was "really yummy" and offered very true flavor profiles as per the description on the sign. It's a fruity tropical blend with pineapple and coconut front and center. And who doesn't want a fruity cocktail with their very own light up Millenium Falcon floating in it?

The Aldernaan was a bit of a let down unfortunately, as it just didn't mix well. Our tasters found it difficult to pick up on any of the Bacardi Black Razz or cranberry notes in this drink because of the overpowering Bols Blue Curacao. As beautiful as it was at night by the light of the Death Star Glow Cube, the whole combination just seemed off.

If you're looking for even more creative cocktails to celebrate Star Wars Weekends, don't forget to check out the Disney Food Blog's Rebel Hangar Review. This exclusive Star Wars Lougnge is offering up it's own unique cocktails, and this location is the only place that guests also have the option to get an X-wing Starfighter glow clip.

Was at Star Wars weekend and tried the Tatooine. I am not fond of mixed drinks, but found this refreshing. Actually snapped a picture of the ingredients.

So glad to hear that, that's two votes for the Tatooine!
