Best Disney World Pools for Adults
While swimming with the kiddos can be fun, sometimes you just need a place to relax and rejuvenate! Here are three of our favorite pool areas in Disney World to do just that.
Uzima Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
This serene, aqua-green oasis is an ideal location for whiling away the afternoon. Shrouded in jungle foliage, Uzima Springs Pool offers some wonderful hideaway seating where you won't be bothered by little feet running by or drips of water flying your way.
But the real reason this pool ranks high on our list is because of it's incredible hot tub jacuzzi spas. These little free-form pools are tucked away into their own little jungle areas, so once you've found one, you'll know you've tripped upon a gem!
Bay Lake Pool at Disney's Contemporary Resort
This circular pool juts out into Disney's Bay Lake, giving it some of the most beautiful scenery of any pool in Walt Disney World. There's nothing like relaxing on your deck chair while watching the sea birds fly back and forth to Discovery Island!
But what really makes this pool stand out is the fact that, while it's right next to the Contemporary's main pool, it's often kid-free. Many families decide to stay at the main pool, which boasts a huge slide and kids' play area; so the Bay Lake Pool remains a quiet, relaxing location for adults to unwind.
Additionally, if you really want to be in the lap of luxury, you can rent a cabana here at the Bay Lake Pool. These offer ample padded seating; an exclusive flat-screen TV; an ipod dock; a refrigerator stuffed with complimentary beverages and snacks; and more!
Volcano Pool at Disney's Polynesian Resort
I know what you're thinking: this pool can be one of the loudest and most active on property! How could it be recommend for adults? Well, here's why:
Just past the pool area is the entrance to the Polynesian's white sand beach -- a gorgeous stretch of quiet beach that includes some cozy little cabana tents as well as some relaxing hammocks!
We had to include this in the list, because it truly is one of the most relaxing and romantic pool areas in Disney World -- especially if you can snag a hammock just in time to watch Wishes in the Magic Kingdom. Don't forget to head over to the Barefoot Pool Bar to grab a lapu lapu!
