Celebrate Opening of Olypmics at Disney's Dolphin Hotel

Wish you had a place to go to experience Disney "magic" and the Summer Olympic Games together? The Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel has you covered: the hotel is planning a Summer Games Celebration for Friday, July 27.

Guests are free to come to the Dolphin's lobby for "gold medal" cookies and treats with a British theme while taking in the broadcast of the games' opening ceremonies from London.

Former Olympic gymnists Wendy Bruce-Martin and Scott Johnson as well as swimmer Fred Tyler will also be on hand for photos and autographs during the celebration. Bruce-Martin helped bring home the bronze for the USA from Barcelona in 1992 while Johnson brought home a gold medal in 1984 and was captain of the 1988 team. Swimmer Johnson won gold in the 4x200 relay in 1972.

The Summer Games Celebration is a free event for Disney guests as well as the general public; it does not require reservations. Look for the Celebration to begin at 6 P.M. The opening ceremonies broadcast is set to begin at 7:30.
