Happy Thursday! It's been a busy week of news at Walt Disney World and today we're talking about Party for the Planet at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the very real possibility of a gondola transportation system at Disney World, and much more.
This weekend, April 21-23, Disney's Animal Kingdom is hosting the annual Party for the Planet in celebration of Earth Day. Guests can pick up 10 different animal cutouts to help them see nature in a different way, take part in an activity at the Maharaja Jungle Trek inspired by the new film Born in China, and more!
According to documents from the Reedy Creek Improvement District the gondola lift system is a "go" at Walt Disney World. This new system will feature six stations with three gondola lines linking Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Caribbean Beach Resort, and the area between Pop Century and Art of Animation.
A new destination is being added to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The new destination will features locations from the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The new updates will appear on the attraction later this year.
And finally, Pandora " The World of Avatar opens on May 27 but Disney is giving guests a sneak preview of some of the specialty drinks that will be served at the Satu'li Canteen and Pongu Pongu. Drinks include non-alcoholic slushes, sangria, margaritas, Banshee wines, and beers.
