English Crew Member Missing From Disney Wonder Cruise Ship

Rebecca Coriam, a 24-year-old Disney Wonder crew member, was reported missing from the cruise ship this past week.

The 1,754-passenger ship was at sea this past Tuesday after setting out from its home port of Los Angeles when the crew member didn't show up for the start of her shift.

A statement released by Disney says a "comprehensive inspection" has been done of the Wonder. The statement goes on to say: "Given the circumstances we are very concerned about this situation and are doing everything possible to assist with the search effort and investigation. The Mexican Navy has been conducting searches since Tuesday, and the Bahamas Maritime Authority is leading the investigation on this matter."

Coriam's family has held a press conference in her native Chester, England, while her parents are reportedly in Los Angeles awaiting the return of the ship.

The Disney Wonder is set to return from its seven-night Mexican cruise today.
