Great Movie Ride Dinner Coming In June

What's better than being able to go behind the scenes in the Disney Hollywood Studio's attraction the Great Movie Ride? Being able to pair an in-depth look at the ride with a dinner. Slated as the June event for "Tables in Wonderland," the Great Movie Ride Dinner is planned for Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16 from 8:00 - 10:30 PM.

Guests partaking in this special event will be able to access the Great Movie Ride after it has closed for the day and have a delicious three-part meal. Details on the meal are as follows:
Passed Reception in the Gangster Scene " 8:00 " 8:30 p.m.

  • "Squid and Beans" Salad
  • "Gambino" Balsamic Beef with Palermo Roasted Tomato
  • "Terranova" Blistered Artichoke Cheese Quenelle

Plated Dinner in the Western Scene " 8:30 " 10 p.m.

  • Creamy Free Range Yard Bird Corn Chowder with Piquillo Peppers and Ciabatta Bread
  • Wild Greens and Herbs with Cactus Cilantro Vinaigrette with Beet Tumbleweeds with Mandarin Rice Wine Marinade
  • Poblano Barbeque Braised Beef Short Rib with Tobacco Onions
  • Smoky Cheddar Potatoes Gratin
  • Black Skillet Roasted Baby Green Beans with Mushrooms
  • House-made Fire Roasted Corn Bread with Butter

Dessert Buffet in the Land of Oz " 10:00 " 10:30 p.m.

  • Wicked Witch Pistachio Cannoli
  • Emerald Cheesecake Pushups
  • Ruby Strawberry Panna Cotta
  • Dark Forest Chocolate Decadence with Raspberry Gel
  • Yellow Brick Caramel Milk Cake
  • Auntie Em's Apple Cake

Beer, wine and specialty beverages are also included.

Interested in going? The dinner, which is exclusive to Tables in Wonderland members, will run $165 per person plus tax (this does include gratuity). It is limited to 80 guests per night, and those guests wanting to be a part of the dinner event will need to first email [email protected] with the following information: your interest to book, your name, daytime phone number, home address, and the number of people in your party. You'll also need to specify which date you're requesting (either June 15 or 16). You will be notified on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Your credit card will be taken over the phone once your reservation is confirmed. It may take up to 2 weeks to receive a reply; please send only ONE email.

Wow, this sounds like it is going to be amazing but then again, anything that Disney does usually is. The cost is really steep and seems like it should be a fine dining event. Is there a dress code?

 

Disney is famous for their advertising but they are really worth it to those who can afford such things and this new dinner show should be wonderful.
