Summer 2017 at the Walt Disney World Resort promises to be an exciting time thanks to new attractions and experiences at several of the theme parks. And we're not just talking about Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
At the Magic Kingdom a new nighttime show, Happily Ever After, debuts on May 12. The fan favorite fireworks show Wishes ends forever on May 11. The new show will feature fireworks, pyrotechnics, and project technology in addition to new animation and a new musical score! Happily Ever After will also feature moments from classic Disney films including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Moana, and more.
On May 27 the long-awaited Pandora - The World of Avatar opens at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This new land features two new attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey. Guests will be immersed in the world of Pandora with floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforests, and much more.
Two new dining locations are also opening in Pandora: the Satu'li Canteen and Pongu Pongu. And don't forget about the nighttime show at the park, Rivers of Light.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios guests can check out the all-new 'The Music of Pixar LIVE! A Symphony of Characters.' This new 40-minute concert includes music from Pixar Animation Studios and appearances by Disney/Pixar characters. The show will be presented three times each night at the Theater of the Stars.
Star Wars fans can now meet BB-8 at the Star Wars Launch Bay at the Studios.
The Disney water parks are getting in on the summer fun too! A new attraction, Miss Adventure Falls, recently opened at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. And, the Frozen Summer Games kick off May 26 at Disney's Blizzard Beach.
At Disney's Resort hotels the new Copper Creek Villas & Cabins open July 17 at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and a new character breakfast is available at Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk.
