New Botique Now Open in Downtown Disney

For those of you who love to shop 'til you drop when visiting Disney World, there's a new store to add to your to-do list. Apricot Lane, a trendy clothing and accessories store, opened yesterday in Downtown Disney.

The trendy botique looks to offer mothers and daughters a place to find the latest fashions and carries several "celebrity-inspired" brands such as Miss Me, Lucky Brand, Vintage Havana and Chaser. Shoppers can also browse the store for unique and trendy gifts.

Keith Bradford, vice president of Downtown Disney, had this to say about the opening of the new botique:

We're pleased to add Apricot Lane to our assortment of unique offerings at Downtown Disney. This boutique is another example of our commitment to bring new and compelling experiences to life at Downtown Disney, and I'm confident that it will soon become a guest favorite.

Guests can find Apricot Lane located in the former Orlando Harley Davidson store.

I'm really not sure what I think about this shop going in. I like to go to DTD to find things that I can't get at home, unique Disney gear, creative surprises, I just don't think this will be one of those places. Are they trying to draw a more local market again? When I was at the mall in Chicago last week there was an "Apricot Lane Franchising Opportunity" poster that I walked by. I guess I'll just have to wait and see before I pass judgement, but it seems pretty yawn to me at the moment.
