News Tidbits: Bay Lake Tower Check-In and Typhoon Lagoon Wi-Fi

Here are a couple of recent news tidbits in and around Walt Disney World.

First up, some of you heading out to check-in at the Bay Lake Tower might find the process a bit easier. As of tomorrow, check-in at the Tower will be located in the Tower itself and not through the Contemporary Resort.

Starting August 20, guests arriving at the resort by car or taxi will be able to go straight to the Bay Lake Tower to proceed with check-in. There is a bit of a catch, though; as of right now, guests arriving through the Magical Express will continue to arrive at the Contemporary's main building. There's no word if or when this will change.

The Bay Lake Tower lobby, which will be staffed from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. will also be able to handle check-out, dining reservations and ticket sales.

Next up, the plan to include Wi-Fi in all Disney parks seems to be moving forward. Reports out of Walt Disney World say guests can now connect to Disney's wireless internet service at Typhoon Lagoon. We'll keep you posted as to what park the service pops up at next.

This is really only for guests who park their car and carry their bags, or guests arriving by taxi between 7am-10pm. That just seems so weird to me. I can understand it being useful if they added a DME stop or even a valet, but without that I don't quite get it.
