Paul Bettany Reportedly Cast as The Vision in Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’

Paul Bettany, the actor who voices J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Iron Man movies and The Avengers, has reportedly been cast as The Vision in Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This casting news has led many to ask how one actor will be able to play two roles in the same movie.

Marvel fans know that in the comic books, The Vision is a superpowerd androis created by Ultron (played by James Spader in the film), and [spoiler alert] eventually The Vision turns good, joins The Avengers, and becomes the love interest of the Scarlet Witch.

Some are speculation that Ultron will base The Vision on J.A.R.V.I.S. which would explain the similar voice patterns. Or maybe there's another explanation completely but Marvel isn't giving any answers right now.

There is also no word about whether or not Bettany will simply be doing the voice of The Vision or if he'll be playing the role via motion-capture (which is what Spader is doing with Ultron).

And because this is Hollywood, Marvel has not yet officially confirmed that Bettany is in fact playing The Vision.
