Peter Pan’s Flight Set to Debut an All-New Interactive Queue

The very popular and always crowded Magic Kingdom attraction Peter Pan's Flight is going to debut an all-new interactive standby queue. The queue will include technology that makes it seem like Tinker Bell is flying around guests and moving items in the ride's queue.

The attraction's entire standby queue was recently updated and includes artwork from the film and a recreation of the Darling family home complete with photos of the family.

As guests walk through the queue they can "play" as projected shadows on the wall and try to ring bells and catch butterflies on the shadow wall.

The interactive queue will feature a 3D Tinker Bell flying around the Darling children's nursery and then she'll seemingly fly over guests in the queue.

In addition to everyone's favorite pixie visiting the queue, guests can also clap their hands and create a "storm" of pixie dust near the end of the line, just before boarding the attraction. (But don't worry. You won't really walk out of the ride covered in glittery pixie dust. It's all quite magical!)

Would you stand in a longer standby line just to experience an interactive queue? Let us know in the comments.

Can't wait to see it. Did they take the skyway building out too?

I'm not sure that I'll stand in the longer queue, but I sure know that my daughter Katie plans on it!

This isn't really an optional longer line. This is an improvement much like the lines in Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, etc. created to help entertain guests while waiting. Given that Peter Pan typically has one of the longest waits in the park on a daily basis, this is going to make the experience much more enjoyable. I can't wait to see the looks on little ones faces as the pixie dust "falls."

ThatMouse, the Fantasyland Skyway building was replaced by the Rapunzel Tower Bathrooms & charging area.

I'm just really happy that Peter finally has a handicapped accessible queue.
