The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews Outdoor Kitchen

When I think of the most quintessential of American foods, my mind goes straight to down home Pit Barbecue. There's nothing my family loves more than gathering around a feast of smoked meats with pulled pork, ribs, and brisket - and during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival we find it at The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews Outdoor Kitchen. Located in the American Pavilion Courtyard. It's easy to find, just follow fantastic smells coming from the on site smoker.

What can you expect to from The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews to temp your tastebuds? Check-out the menu:

The Pulled Pig Slider with Crispy Onions and Coleslaw is a returning favorite, and just as good as previous years. Stop by the condiment bar and select one of the unique American BBQ sauces to top it with.

New this year is the Gluten Free Smoked Pork Ribs with Roasted Corn Salad. The corn salad is slightly sweet and spicy, good enough to eat on it's own, but perfect with the smoky pink ringed barbecue ribs.

If you're a fan of Beef Brisket, the Burnt Ends Hash with White Cheddar Fondue and Pickled Jalapenos is what you'll want to order up. I love a hash and this one is fantastic, the cheese sauce has a fairly mild flavor so don't be afraid to punch it up at the condiment station.

The new dessert selection here is a vegetarian Warm Chocolate Cake with Bourbon-Salted Caramel Sauce and Spiced Pecans. Simply decadent and absolutely one of the hits of the festival with it's generous topping of that boozy sauce.

I've not been to WDW since my parents treated my cousin and me to "the big red boat" cruise (when it was brand new), so my knowledge of everything Disney is lacking, I find. It sure isn't the "disney world" of 1994, so please excuse my lack of knowledge! Is this cart/stand only there for the festival, or is it there always? Going in December of '16, and this sounds so yummy!

Hi Tammy! No need to apologize at all, we have readers with all levels of Disney experience. This smokehouse at Epcot is only open during the International Food & Wine Festival each year.

However - Sitting outside the House of Blues in Disney Springs is a year round grab and go spot also called The Smokehouse. So if you're in search of great BBQ, be sure to give it a try.
