Tortgua Tavern Open in WDW

The Magic Kingdom eatery El Pirata Y El Perico has been rechristened Tortuga Tavern and is open for business. This is news because the El Pirata Y El Perico had a reputation for being closed a majority of the time and opening generally to serve crowds at the busiest times and seasons.

Located near the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, the menu is much the same as before the name change. Patrons can expect Mexican-inspired fare such as burritos, nachos and tacos.

Though the food is the same, the Tortgua Tavern has received a bit of a decor facelift to tie in a bit of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Another interesting Pirates tie-in: Tortuga is the name of the island Captain Jack visits often for general carousing and rabble-rousing.
