TRON Lightcycle Power Run coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

The exciting news just kept coming at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California this past weekend. Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts Bob Chapeck hosted a presentation that was full of exciting happenings for Disney Parks around the globe. Confirmed at the event was the the TRON Lightcycle Power Run coming to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

As Walt Disney World is gears up for an amazing 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2021 it was clear that the Imagineering teams are dreaming big, and the expansion projects are plentiful. TRON Lightcycle Power Run, is an E-ticket attraction that will give guests a brand new thrill just in time for the anniversary celebration that kicks off in 2021.

While pre-expo speculation thought that TRON would go into the space currently occupied by the Tomorrowland Speedway, that attraction, and the Magic Kingdom Railway is clearly visible in the concept art. Chapek confirmed for fans that Shanghai Disneyland's "highest rated attraction" will be speeding into a whole new spot adjacent to Space Mountain.
