Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Goes Virtual

If you have been itching to lace up your trainers and hit the pavement during runDisney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, you may have to wait a little longer. Or... you can run your race from home. Just over 100 days out from the 2020 event, this annual race over the roads and through Disney Parks has taken on a new twist " it's now a virtual event.

The races have been sold out, but runners that were signed up for all of those magical miles have two options now that the traditional race has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Eligible runners can select to participate in the virtual race completed from home will receive a race shirt and medal for each distance they complete.
  • Runners not wishing to participate in the virtual run can select a refund option to receive a refund back to their original form of payment. Alternative options are available for those that no longer have that form of payment.

Registered participants will receive an email beginning July 23 with instructions on how to make their registration selection before August 5, 2020. If a selection is not made, registered Guests automatically will be refunded.

It's worth noting here that the virtual participation option is dependent on having a US shipping address. Those with registered addresses outside of the United States will automatically be issued a refund. Pre-purchased commemorative merchandise and ChEAR Squad tickets will be automatically refunded.

Runners who booked through a third party charity or tour operator ned to reach out directly to their represented organization.
