One of the areas I feel Disney lets itself down is on its bike provisions. OK, I'm a regular cyclist with a quite decent bike back here in the UK to compare them to, but the hire bikes are pretty rubbish.

They're all heavy, badly maintained and always left out at night so that they are always rusty.

It would be great if there was just one place where you could hire a decent bike to ride for a few hours.

I also think that Disney would be onto a winner if they adopted a similar scheme to the Boris Bikes in London or the Citi Bikes in NYC.

I know that safety is often cited as an issue but - in my fantasy world where cost is not an issue - I would love it if they built bike paths alongside, but separate from, the road and canal network to get people to and from the parks and the hotels and Downtown Disney. It would be fantastic.

They spend so much on busses and other non-car traffic options, this would be a great addition.

Oh my! Maybe it's because I'm a rope drop till the kick me out type of person...but with running around the parks all day....feet tired/blistered...the last thing I would think of is working out!

Does anyone know if any disney fitness centers have rowing machines? Concept 2? Erg?

I don't think that I have seen rowing machines, but I haven't been to all of the resorts.

Great idea to have "Boris Bikes" but also have Tri-cycles for those adults who have poor balance and cannot ride the ordinary bikes. The surrey's are too awkward and heavy to ride.
