10 Reasons A Disney Cruise Is Worth The Cost

It is not a secret that going on a Disney Cruise is expensive. I find that for my family, the cost is comparable to staying in a deluxe Walt Disney World resort with the deluxe dining plan. When you compare it with other cruise lines on a night by night price point, you may well think they have lost their minds. I've been on other cruise lines, and they were nice enough, but in this article I'm going to share 10 reasons I think sailing with the Disney Cruise Line is completely worth the cost.

The Berry Basket Outdoor Kitchen At Epcot's International Flower And Garden Festival

I've been on the ground at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival all week, and I couldn't wait to get home to tell you about one of my favorite NEW Outdoor Kitchens. If you'll be at the festival yourself, be sure to head straight over to The Berry Basket.

A Few Drinks At Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar

My 22 year old son and I have a running "argument" over which one of us drank more on our last Disney trip. He's sure it was him, but I think he just didn't want to have to tell his friends that is was totally his Mom. Regardless of who downed more delicious Disney cocktails on the trip - we started it all off with rounds at the fantastically fun Indiana Jones themed location at Disney Springs - Jock Lindey's Hangar Bar.

As the usually designated driver in my friend group, I don't often drink much at home. This means that most vacation days will include at least one stop to enjoy Disney's fantastic bars and lounges. Here's a look at my Top 5 Walt Disney World Bars and Lounges of 2016.

Drinking Absinthe at AbracadaBAR On Disney's BoardWalk

Absinthe is a mysterious drink steeped in legend and folklore, but was it the key to the disappearance of a secret club of magicians who once made their home on Disney's BoardWalk? According to The Boardwalk Bugle (hanging on a wall in the bar) on November 13, 1940 a group of BoardWalk illusionists and entertainers vanished into thin air right in this place - never to be heard from again.

My Can't Miss Cocktail List At Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite Parks to spend the day just strolling around and relaxing in. My family often moves from show to show, stopping at the many food kiosks along the ways. It's a phenomenal Park to photograph and just sort of chill out in between thrilling rides on Expedition Everest. Disney's Animal Kingdom beverage program includes some truly fantastic cocktails, so read on for my DAK can't miss cocktail list!

Disney Cocktails: The Lapu Lapu

One of the most beloved drinks at Disney's Polynesian Resort has got to be the distinct and delicious Lapu Lapu. Served up in a pineapple, this concoction of rum and juice is a classic Disney must do on any monorail crawl. Made by combining Myers's Original Dark Rum with Tropical Fruit Juices and topped off with Bacardi 151 Rum the Lapu Lapu is a fun island delight, but not for the faint of heart.
