Disney Springs Closes Early Due To Curfew And A Message From Disney Leaders

Civil unrest occurring across the nation has prompted action from Disney as Orlando and Orange County institute a curfew following nights of rioting over the death of George Floyd. Disney Springs will be closing early until further notice to allow guests and cast members the ability to make it home in time. Disney Company leadership CEO Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Bob Iger, and Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer of The Walt Disney Company Latondra Newton also released a joint statement to Cast Members regarding this time of civil unrest.

Eat all the things! Alright - maybe we didn't eat ALL of the things, but as soon as we walked in the door at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' Florida Kitchen And Shine Bar our goal was to eat as much as we possibly could. I'd say we put a pretty big dent in the menu, and I've got photos for you of every wonderful thing. I'll say it right here at the start, this celebrity chef restaurant in Disney Springs is my new Walt Disney World favorite.

Souvenir Sensation: Lavender Bundles From L'OCCITANE At Disney Springs

I'm sort of a sucker for souvenirs with a cause, be it MagicBead rolled paper jewelry from Hollywood Studios, or Djembe Drums from Animal Kingdom, if I can do good in the world and bring home a great gift, I'm totally in. On a recent trip I discovered that one of the new shops at Disney Springs is home to great gifts that support one of my favorite things in the world - Lavender.

Inside A Two Bedroom Villa At Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a sprawling complex that sits across Village Lake from Disney Springs. Designed to evoke the late-1800s' New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing. Pastel colored buildings dot the waterside amid the vibrant green of Disney's Buena Vista Golf Course. While some guests feel it lacks a strong theme, I find its charm drawing me back again and again.

Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza is serving up custom-built artisanal pizzas, and freshly made gourmet salads that suit each guests taste. While Blaze is a chain fast-casual restaurant, it makes for a great fit at Disney Springs.
