Professional and Amateur Sports Call Walt Disney World Home this spring

It's shaping up to be a sports-filled spring at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Atlanta Braves started spring training in mid-February at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and will be playing 17 home games starting February 26 against the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers return to Orlando on March 2 and March 21, while the New York Yankees face the Braves on March 19. The Washington Nationals come to Disney three times in March and the New York Mets will play the Braves on March 3 and 23.

Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members Reunite Guest with Lost Teddy Bear

If you're looking for a heartwarming story with a side of Disney Parks magic, this is it.

The Disney Parks Blog recently told the story of a girl named Brooklyn Andrews and her lost teddy bear.

Brooklyn is the owner of a teddy bear given to her by her dad when she was 3 years old. Her dad was a member of the United States National Guard and had purchased the bears as gifts for his kids before he deployed to Iraq. The bears even featured a recorded "I love you" message from Tony.

The Atlanta Braves Report for Spring Training at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Despite the never-ending winter in the northern half of the country, baseball season is right around the corner, and the Atlanta Braves have reported for spring training in Orlando.

For the 17th year, the Braves spring training is taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort. Pitchers reported on February 14 and the rest of the team reported February 18.

The Animal Kingdom's afternoon parade, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, is set to end in June according to sources at Disney.

Earlier this year the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade ended at the Magic Kingdom and will be replaced with the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade next month.

Destination America Network to Air ‘Disney Week’ Beginning March 3

For one week next month, Disney fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at Disney parks, resorts, and cruise line during Disney Week on Destination America.

The week long programming event will highlight Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels.

PUSH the Talking Trash Can is No Longer in the Magic Kingdom

PUSH the talking trash can has been removed from the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort.

There were rumors of his departure for nearly a week before it was made official, and fans even took to social media to save the beloved trash can, creating a Facebook page in an effort to "Save PUSH."

The animatronic trash can was created by and is owned by an Orlando-based product development company, Real Simple Ideas LLC.

Nearly 37,000 unionized employees at the Walt Disney World Resort are preparing to negotiate for higher wages when their contract expires next month.

The workers are represented by six different local unions as part of a coalition called the Services Trade Council.

Several of Disney's top resorts have been named Silver Badge Winners by U.S. News & World Report in their annual "best of" series.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel came in at the top of the list of "best of" hotels in the Anaheim/Disneyland area. It ranked #1 out of 315 hotels in that area, and was #142 in Best California Hotels, and #11 in Disney Hotels and Resorts.
