New Merchandise is Blooming for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival returns to Walt Disney World on March 5 and guests will have a chance to "pick" some great merchandise.

The topiary artwork from 2013 returns to the festival this year with designs created by Disney's Yellow Shoes Marketing group, including a Minnie Mouse wind chime, a Donald Duck garden stake, and a Mickey Mouse garden figurine.

Walt Disney World Cast Members Participate in Fourth Annual Holiday Bird Count

Walt Disney World cast members and their families recently had a chance to take part in the 4th Annual Walt Disney World Resort Holiday Bird Count guided by Disney's Animal Program experts.

During the bird count more than 24,000 birds representing 119 species were counted at the Walt Disney World Resort and surrounding areas. This number set a new record for the most birds and species observed in the last four years.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces February Merchandise Events

If you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this month there are several special merchandise events planned.

The Pop of Minnie makeup collection from Beautifully Disney officially launches February 8 at Tren-D in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. "Minnie" makeovers are available for guests from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Wasn’t So Magical for Some Guests at the Magic Kingdom

The holidays are always a busy time at the Walt Disney World Resort, and New Year's Eve 2013 was no exception.

The Magic Kingdom reached capacity early Tuesday morning and was at a Phase 3 closing by about 11 a.m.

A Phase 3 park closing means admission to the park is limited to Disney Resort guests, Annual, Premier, and Premium Passholders, guests with dining reservations, and guests who have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Pirates League reservations.

Disney Vacation Account Gives Guests a New Option to Save for Their Disney Vacations

UPDATE: ON July 25th, 2017 Disney sent out a letter to it's vacation account holders stating "Thank you for your participation in the Disney Vacation Account program. At this time, we are discontinuing the program and no new accounts or contributions are being accepted."

Saving money for a Disney vacation just got a little bit easier with the new Disney Vacation Account that was recently launched by the Walt Disney Travel Company.

Disney VoluntEARS Spread Holiday Cheer through Donation of 36,000 Toys to Toys for Tots Campaign

Walt Disney World Resort cast members have been working harder than Santa's elves to make the holidays magical for families in Central Florida.

More than 36,000 toys have been collected by cast member VoluntEARS have collected and the new toys were donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots to benefit kids in Orange and Seminole counties.

The VoluntEARS have also given more than 6,000 volunteer hours helping sort and pack the toys and helping the Marines register families for the annual giving campaign.

Walt Disney World Cast Members Create Special Holiday Bears for the Salvation Army’s Dress-A-Bear Program

Walt Disney World cast members recently designed 920 Disney Bears and Duffy Bears for the Salvation Army's Dress-A-Bear program.

The cast member created hand-made costumes or used ready-made costumes for the bears, creating princesses, cowboys, and bears that look like Disney characters. The bears will be given to children in Central Florida.

The design-a-bear has been a tradition for cast members for more than 15 years.

‘Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade’ Airs December 25 on ABC

The 30th annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade special is set to air on Christmas Day on ABC.

Neil Patrick Harris has hosting duties from the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and will be joined by Nick Cannon from Disneyland Resort. ABC's Good Morning America co-anchor Lara Spencer joins the duo as the show's special correspondent.

Chocolate Christmas Scene Adds to the Magic of Holiday Happenings at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts

If you're a fan of all things chocolate you'll want to make a stop at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort to get a peek at the latest holiday creation.

The resort's executive pastry chef Laurent Branlard has created a 7-foot-tall, 400-pound chocolate nutcracker that is part of the resort's chocolate Christmas scene. The completely edible nutcracker took about 80 hours to complete and is joined in the scene by a life-sized Santa Claus, fireplace, toy train, and Christmas tree.

A Few Magical Ways to Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort

If you haven't made your New Year's Eve plans yet and you're going to be at the Walt Disney World Resort there are a few rather magical ways to ring in 2014.

As of mid-December, Monsieur Paul still had a few reservations available for noon, 12:30, 2:30, and 3 p.m. on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is serving a three-course menu for $75 (plus tax and gratuity).
