2019 Atlanta Braves Spring Training Schedule at ESPN Wide World of Sports

Disney & Major League Baseball are both as American as apple pie, so it's no wonder that the Atlanta Braves have been making their spring home at the ESPN Wide World of Sports (WWoS) for more than 20 years. In fact the very first event held at WWoS was a Braves Spring Training Game. Sadly, 2019 will be the final year for The Atlanta Braves to hold Spring Training at Walt Disney World. Now is the time to make your travel plans to enjoy both of these the great American institutions in the same fabulous vacation.

Disney and Pixar Win Big at the Annie Awards

The Walt Disney Studios and Pixar were the big winners at this year's International Animated Film Society's Annie Awards. Overall, Disney and its related companies picked up 17 Annie Awards. The Annie is the animation industry's equivalent of an Academy Award.

Bob Weis Named President of Walt Disney Imagineering

The Walt Disney Company announced late last week that Bob Weis would be taking over as president of Walt Disney Imagineering, replacing Bruce Vaughn. Weis was instrumental in the makeover of Disney California Adventure and was in charge of the Shanghai Disney project.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Opening Night Event at Walt Disney World Resort is Sold Out

Earlier this week Disney announced a special event for the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The "Opening Night Event" is planned for December 17 and includes a showing of the new film followed by a private after-hours party at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And as of today, the event is completely sold out.

Jogging trails are offered for guests to use throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Most of the Disney Hotels have "Winding paths through serene wilderness and scenic trails alongside sprawling lakes and rivers," offer some of the most charming and tranquil views of the property. If you plan on using the resort's jogging trails during your stay, please ask for maps and information at the front desk of your resort hotel.
