‘Star Wars’ Weekends to Include Expanded Darth’s Mall and the ‘Summon the Force’ Nighttime Celebration

The 2015 Star Wars Weekends are just a few short months away but Disney is slowly releasing information about what's new and different for this year. In the latest update it was announced that fan-favorite James Arnold Taylor is returning to this year's event to host the Stars of the Saga talk show at the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard.

Golden Carriage from Live-Action ‘Cinderella’ On Display at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fans of Disney royalty and those looking forward to the soon-to-be-released live-action Cinderella can now get up close to the golden carriage used in the production of the film. Love it or hate it, the 122-foot tall Sorcerer's Hat is an iconic symbol of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

And now it has been confirmed by Disney that the much-maligned hat will be removed from the park in early 2015. There have been rumors of the hat's demise for several weeks as its image was missing from newly printed park maps.

Hiro and Baymax from ‘Big Hero 6’ to Meet Guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

The stars of Big Hero 6 are headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios later this fall.

Hiro and Baymax will be meeting guests at The Magic of Disney Animation beginning sometime in November.

Guests will have a chance to tour the lab from the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and then meet Hiro and his sidekick in Hiro's garage workshop.

Out in Disneyland guests will have a chance to visit Hiro's workshop near the Starcarde in Tomorrowland.

The Frozen Summer Fun event at Disney's Hollywood Studios might be over, but guests can still enjoy a couple of holdovers from the event.

Queen Elsa and Princess Anna are still holding court in the Premiere Theater each day where guests can take part in the 'For The First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.'

This interactive, sing-along stars Anna, Elsa, and a couple of "historians" from the Kingdom of Arendelle who tell the story of Frozen with the music from the Academy Award-winning film.

The park is celebrating summer with a 'Rock Your Summer Side' dance party every night from 6-10 p.m. through August 22.

Star Wars Weekends Come to Life Thanks to New Augmented Reality Technology

Just in case Star Wars Weekends weren't cool enough, this year Disney is presenting all-new technology to take the coolness factor to a whole new level.

For the first time ever, Disney is utilizing augmented reality to give guests virtual character experiences, provide additional information on guide maps, and interact with the Star Wars Weekend logo.

This store is located at the exit of Star Tours and it was built to resemble the Mos Espa village in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

When Tatooine Traders originally opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios it was called Endor Vendors and was built to resemble the Endor shield generator bunker from Return of the Jedi.

Step into Mom’s Kitchen at the 50’s Prime Time Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This table service location is a true blast-from-the-past. The restaurant is themed to look just like Mom's kitchen. Or what mom's kitchen would have looked like back in the 1950s.
