D23 "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" Pavilion Teases Great Things To Come

D23 Expo has kicked off in Anaheim, California and even before the doors opened to fans exciting news about the future of Disney Parks and Resorts was revealed. A pavilion at Disney's ultimate fan convention entitled "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" shares a peek at what's in development at Disney Parks worldwide. Included in the preview are exhibits featuring new attractions in store for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Check it out.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth Ending in the Second Half of 2019

Since October of 1999 Walt Disney World guests have enjoyed gathering each night on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon to watch the nightly spectacular IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Today Disney announced that the popular nighttime show will end its run at the close of the 2019 summer season.

2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts Runs January 12 through February 19

The 2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts is slated to run for 39 days from January 12 through February 19, 2018. The schedule for next year's Festival is a change from the inaugural event which only ran Fridays through Mondays. Next year just the Disney on Broadway performances are happening Friday through Monday each week.

Early Morning Magic Hours?
Epcot was one of Walt Disney's original visions. Originally standing for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, it was actually intended to be much more of the basis for Walt Disney World than the Magic Kingdom. Eventually however his initial vision proved too grand to be carried out and it became the less expansive park that you see today.

If you're looking for all-American food when you're touring Epcot (it happens, we understand), look no further than the Liberty Inn Publick Dining Room in the American Adventure pavilion.

This often-overlooked quick service location is a great spot for families with "picky eaters" or when you find yourself in need of a quick bite halfway around World Showcase.

Find Authentic and Colorful Souvenirs at El Ranchito Del Norte in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion

Epcot's World Showcase is a great place to find that perfect souvenir and we've talked about many of the shops before. But some of the shops, namely the small kiosks, sometimes get overlooked in the hustle and bustle of a vacation day.

One of those is the El Ranchito Del Norte kiosk in the Mexico pavilion. And while we love the plaza of shops inside the pavilion's pyramid, this little kiosk always catches our eye.

Learn about the Man behind the Mouse at ‘Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream’ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If there is one attraction that should be a "must see" on any Disney fan's list, it is 'Walt Disney: One Man's Dream' at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Originally created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Walt's birth, it opened on October 1, 2001 as part of Walt Disney World's 100 years of Magic Celebration. A few years ago the attraction's marquee was updated to reflect that D23: The Official Disney Fan Club was now presenting the attraction.

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Germany’s Karamell-Küche

There are plenty of iconic and fan-favorite snacks at the Walt Disney World resort, including Dole Whip, schoolbread, and Mickey ice cream bars.

But over the last few years another snacks has been added to the "must eat" list of Disney foodie fans. We're talking about the homemade caramel corn from Karamell-Kuche in Epcot's Germany pavilion.

Shopping at the House of Good Fortune in Epcot’s China Pavilion

Epcot's China Pavilion is one of the more beautiful locations around World Showcase, and it's also a hidden gem when it comes to great shopping.

When visiting the pavilion, we always stop and take time to explore the garden. The lotus pond in front of the temple is stocked with floating water lilies and other plants and fruit trees, and also features a small waterfall. The area was designed to create a mood of serenity and if you stand there long enough you might feel a sense of calm wash over you.
