Ring in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort

If you're planning on celebrating New Year's Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort several of the theme parks have special events planned for Saturday night. Guests at the Magic Kingdom can celebrate on Friday and Saturday night.

Artist Lineup Announced for Epcot International Festival of the Arts

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts January 13 and includes visual, culinary, and performing arts. Guests will have a chance to enjoy a showcase of music and Broadway talent during the festival thanks to a collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions.

The 2017 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival starts March 1 and runs for 90 days through May 29. The 24th annual Festival will feature two new Outdoor Kitchens, a new princess topiary, expanded Garden Rocks concerts, and much more.

Epcot was one of Walt Disney's original visions. Originally standing for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, it was actually intended to be much more of the basis for Walt Disney World than the Magic Kingdom. Eventually however his initial vision proved too grand to be carried out and it became the less expansive park that you see today.
