Details Released for ‘Frozen Ever After’ Attraction Planned for Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

The opening of the new Frozen-themed attraction in Epcot's Norway pavilion won't happen until next year, but Disney has recently released new details about the attraction which will be housed in the former location of Maelstrom. The popular flume attraction closed last year after 25 years of taking guests back, back over the falls.

More changes are coming to another long-time attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort.

This time the change is happening at Disney's Hollywood Studios as the Studio Backlot Tour is closing for good on September 27.

Rumors were starting to swirl in recent weeks about the possible closing of the attraction, but Disney confirmed the news last week saying only that the Backlot Tour is closing to make way for new development.

‘Frozen’ Attraction Set to Replace Maelstrom in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

After several months of rumors and speculation, the news is official: a Frozen attraction is being built to replace Maelstrom in Epcot's Norway Pavilion.

Disney Parks made the official announcement this afternoon. Construction is underway on the new Frozen attraction that will takes guests to Arendelle where they'll be surrounded by the music from the film.
