Marvel Teams Up With Netflix To Produce The Defenders

News out of Marvel continues to expand the universe that has become a huge, box office draw. Six months since it was released that Marvel and Netflix would be teaming up for a round of Marvel-centric shows like the popular "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards", Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada went on record confirming that The Defenders will be the next property to get Marvel/Disney treatment. Joe Quesada was quoted as saying, on Kevin Smith's Fat Man on Batman podcast:

The Ultimate Marvel Movie Marathon Celebrates Avengers: Age of Ultron at Downtown Disney's AMC

We are almost two months away to the beginning of Marvel's super-packed Phase 3, and Avengers excitement is building very, very quickly. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will see the end of the very long Phase 2 build-up and Phase 3 will begin with Antman in releasing on June 17th of 2015. But with all that is coming in Phase 3, what we really care about is the new Avengers movie.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Opens August 1st

As we all know, coming to theaters on August 1st is the next big installment of the Marvel experience that many of us are way too excited for. We here at WDW for Grown-ups have followed this new series from its early beginnings and now after months of stills, sneak peeks and Marvel Universe history, we find ourselves only a couple weeks away from opening day. The Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel's (and Disney's) first real move into the space epic/superhero genre.
