Choosing The Right Shoes for Touring Walt Disney World

My Dogs are Barking! When I first heard this expression , I wondered how anyone would know their dogs were barking back at the house when they were miles away. Since then, I've learned that "dogs" refer to your feet and "barking" means they are tired. Considering that the average person will walk eight to ten miles a day while touring the Disney Parks, it won't be long till your dogs are barking. Shoe and sock selections can be very important on helping you maintain healthy feet.

Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Continuing along on our Mountain Tour of WDW, we head towards the far end of the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland. In the arid dessert the spires of rockwork fashioned after the rising buttes of Utah and Arizona's Monument Valley rise high into the air, but it's below in the mine shafts under the landscape that guests can climb aboard and encounter the thrill of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Staying Safe In the High Summer Heat

Moosehead on Tap at the Beer Cart in Epcot's Canada

The afternoon sun is high over your head and you've been touring the parks for hours, all you want is a cold frosty beer. Well my friends, you needn't look any further than the Beer Cart in Epcot's Canada Pavilion. Located on the side of the World Showcase promenade, this little cart of frosty goodness sits near the front of Victoria Gardens, by the the entrance gate to Le Cellier.

The Tea Caddy in Epcot's United Kingdom

One of my favorite spots to stop and shop while touring Epcot is the Twinings Tea Shop located in the United Kingdom Pavilion. I know I can buy Twinings at home, but something about the charming thatched roof and cottage atmosphere just makes buying my tea at Epcot just that much more wonderful.

Favorite Time of Year to Visit Walt Disney World

One would think that a Disney fan's favorite time to go to Disney Parks would be the most popular time of year, but that's just not so. The heat and crowds of the popular summer season can almost send even the most dedicated fan into a tither. Many families choose to travel only when their kids are out of school, and this makes for crowds of (sometimes first time) guests struggling to get to their rides in elbow to elbow masses.
