Jack Skellington and Sally Make Their Debut at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

The Pumpkin King has arrived.

Jack Skellington and his true love Sally, made their debut at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.

The stars of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas are holding court in the Town Square area of Main Street U.S.A. on the nights of the Halloween parties. Jack and Sally are frightfully fun as they interact with guests, as you can see in this video clip.

Jack Skellington Coming to This Year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to the Magic Kingdom on September 10 and this year marks the debut of Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Guests will have a chance to meet The Pumpkin King and his true love in Town Square on Main Street U.S.A.

Also new to this year's party is the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball dance in Tomorrowland hosted by Monsters, Inc. scarers Mike and Sulley at the Rockettower Plaza Stage.

News Tidbits: Animal Guides and New Home for Marie

Here are a couple of news tidbits for those of you heading out to the parks soon that have to do with Disney's Animal Kingdom and an Epcot character meet and greet.

First up, the next time you find yourself at AK, check out the new animal guides. Found at the main entrance, the tip board and Mombasa Marketplace, the animal guides should cover most animals found within AK. These guides look to be in a trial phase which began just the other day (October 1) and should be available through November 30.

Kick Off a ‘Monstrous Summer’ With 24 Hours at the Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 nonstop hours on Memorial Day Weekend. The Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will be open to guests from 6 a.m. local, May 24 to 6 a.m. local May 25, 2013.

A Walk Down Main Street USA

Main Street, U.S.A. is the first "themed land" inside the main entrance at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and other Disney Parks around the world. As you walk beneath the train station overhead, you cross through a portal to another time. You notice that there's a Victorian theme throughout Main Street, yet the architectural styles represent several distinct areas of the country.
