Tidbits from WDW: Attractions and Restaurants

Here are a few attraction- and food-related news tidbits from around Walt Disney World.

First off, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has reopened after a long refurbishment with some changes. If you're heading out to take in the Magic Kingdom attraction, you'll see the Fastpass and Stand-by line entrances have been switched. The Stand-by queue area has been lengthened by quite a bit with the promise of additional props to be added to the waiting area in the weeks to come. As for the ride itself, not a whole lot appears to have changed; there are reports the coaster is smoother overall.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort Crew's Cup Lounge

Nestled in the halls between the Beach Club and the Yacht Club Resorts sits the inconspicuous little Crew's Cup Lounge. The fact that it's so easy to miss may make it one of Disney best hidden gems. Many of us arrive in Disney World at mid-day or in the evening, but don't want to use up a day on our park-hopper tickets for only a half-day of park touring.

Additionally, there are often times that we don't have a flight out until late afternoon or evening, but we've used up all of our tickets and need to fill the time until we leave for the airport.

Here are a few of our favorite ways to spend those open hours in and around Disney World. Let us know your favorites in the comments section below!
