I've packed!

You're packed with 27 days to go???? We are going to Disney world for the weekend and we leave Friday night.
I probably won't be done packing until......Friday afternoon laugh We go to WDW every couple of weeks for the weekend and no matter what I do, I am never done packing until Friday afternoon. Wish I could be as organized as you!

I am normally a day before packer but I've not been very far in my travels (lots of trips to Disneyland Paris and once to Spain) so this trip is a HUGE new experience for me. Being an OCD and planning nut I wanted to check the weight as this is a once in a lifetime thing (well my 1st one anyway) I also have saved up $100 a day spending money... I will need all the extra space I can get hehehe

Sounds like an awesome trip you are going to have yay
My only advice would be to possibly head for publix rather than Wallmart for your snacks etc , as there is one a lot closer to the magic bubble.

I'm not at the packing stage yet but I have been planning packing! I agree with the OCD bit, I'm crazy for the little details!

I have yet to get us new carry-on luggage. We have new suitcases. I'm not too worried about weight as we'r only going for four nights but I am a tad concerned about weight coming back (souvenirs and such).

It's the coming back that I'm worried about too. I'm taking some items (towel and odds and ends) that won't be coming home with me, this way I can save some weight. I also bought extra light cases.

I do love the planning, missing it this week because I've done all I can laugh

We are locals therefore we drive to WDW and don't have to worry about the weight of suitcases. But we want to go to Disneyland someday and we would have to fly. Since DH and I both get a carry on and a personal item, one of us will have a completely empty carry on bag going to Disneyland. And most likely a completely FULL carry on flying back to Florida laugh

My wife is probably going to want a snow globe. I'm super nervous about it surviving in the suitcase.

I need a new mug, and a snow globe too! I share your worries. Think hand luggage will be the way to go for those.

Due to security issues you will NOT be able to pack the Snow Globe in your carry on. They are specifically disallowed by the TSA.

Check out this article I wrote about packing wine bottles, some of the tips may help.

As expected - There have been a couple of alterations (see below post for specifics)

12th October - Day 0: Pre Travel day
11.15am Check in online and print boarding passes " hopefully keep the seat I originally requested at 60 days. Last minute stressing, check house is tidy and that I have everything I need before heading off to Gatwick. Stop off at the stables to say goodbye to Bryn...
(Tried to insert photo here but it decided to go to the bottom of the page - You can meet Bryn down there...)

Check into Hilton Gatwick, drop my bags at twilight check in, go to the bar for a swift G&T (or 3), treat myself to some room service or a hotel picnic (to be decided) before attempting to sleep (yeah right I'm going to be like a kid on Christmas eve!!!)

13th October - Day 1: Travel Day
Get up, attempt to look human ish.
Hotel Breakfast, I love hotel breakfasts and I never eat breakfast at home so it's a bit of a treat.
Trot on over the walkway to the terminal and grab any last minute essentials while waiting for my flight (cue excessive fidgets!)
11:15 " FLY, I have requested a seat at the back of the bubble which I hope I still get when I check in.
15.25 - Land at MCO, do the scary airport thing before hopping onto the magical express.
Arrive at Caribbean Beach resort. Check in to room, explore a bit, photos ect....
Get taxi or Bus to Walmart/ Publix for snacks, breakfasts, drinks and random bits and bobs.
If not too exhausted go to Downtown Disney, or get my planning and bits sorted out for the morning, more exploring of the resort, find bus stops ect.

14th October - Day 2: Hollywood Studios/ Epcot
Fastpasses booked for: Tower of Terror, Little Mermaid and Toy Story Mania
ADR booked: 50's Prime Time
Change to Epcot to see Richard Marx (A hero of mine, as Hazard was one of my fave songs growing up)

15th October - Day 3: Epcot
Fastpasses booked for: Turtle Talk, Test Track and Mission Space (Will start with the tame version and see how I get on.)
ADR booked: La Hacienda (I love Mexican food!!!!)
Watch Billy Ocean (Another fab artist)

16th October - Day 4: Typhoon Lagoon
ADR booked: 1900 Park Fare Breakfast (I hope to meet a certain person who is practically perfect in every way)
ADR booked: Whispering Canyon Dinner
This will be the 1st water park I have ever been to, and after a very bad experience with a kayak and a work conference I hope to work up the courage to try out everything. (I have given myself a goal of each slide once!) and I also figure that I can practice getting brave before hitting Summit plummet later in the holiday.
I have booked fastpasses in Magic Kingdom in the evening but I am still undecided as to where or when I am heading to after TL - I am not a huge one for lazing about so I figure I will be out of here fairly early.

17th October - Day 5: Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain
ADR booked: Paradiso 37
FP Booked:Be our Guest lunch, I have ordered the beef baguette and the grey stuff.
This is a MNSSHP party night so I will be leaving MK by 7pm and I thought this would be a good chance to have a good explore of Downtown Disney and possibly Disney Quest.

18th October - Day 6: Hollywood Studios
Fastpasses booked: Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania and Indiana Jones
ADR booked: Hollywood and Vine (This is one ADR that I am really unsure about, it does not get great reviews but I can't find anywhere else that I really want to eat.)

19th October - Day 7: Animal Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest
ADR Booked: Yak and Yeti

20th October - Day 8: Blizzard Beach/Epcot
Goal " Attempt Summit Plummet!!!!
Fastpasses booked: Spaceship Earth, Meet and Greet, Test Track
ADR Booked: Teppan Edo
Watch Smashmouth "OMG I love this Group!!!!!!!! Maybe watch twice!

21st October - Day 9: Hollywood Studios/ Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Star Tours, Great Movie Ride, Frozen sing along
ADR booked: Sci Fi Dine in
Go back to room and get changed for...
Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party " Dressed as Aurora. I am gutted that a lot of the villains are only posing for photos at the soiree, I seriously considered trying to get a ticket but I really cannot justify that much extra, even if you get cool meet and greets and a nice mug.

22nd October - Day 10: Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Seven Dwarves Mine train, Little Mermaid, Meet Anna and Elsa
(I am going to admit here that I am not a huge frozen fan and do not get the hype however it is growing on me and I do like the songs. It is also good because future generations will see this film the way I see the Lion King and the Little Mermaid)
ADR booked: Crystal Palace

23rd October - Day 11: Epcot
Fastpasses booked: Journey into imagination, The Seas with Nemo, Soarin'
ADR booked: Coral Reef
Booked: Epcot Food and Wine Late night Live Party 9.45pm-1am. I am pleased I can use the 5 free items for some things from my F&W wish list - that will save me some $ and some snack credits because you can pick any 5 items from the participating booths my 1st Thoughts are: Dragonberry Bacardi and Sweet and sour chicken from Refreshment port, Beef from Canada, Kerrygold Licquer from Ireland and the Sunset Cocktail from Hawaii.

24th October - Day 12: Water Park (LAY IN AFTER/ PRE PARTY)
This will be based on which one I liked best or did not get to try everything.....
Booked: MNSSHP - I have a great mickey head cobweb t-shirt that glows in the dark that I would love to wear. I am pleased because this gives me extra time to meet and greet and also do the dance parties.

25th October - Day 13: Animal Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Dinosaur, Finding Nemo, Primevil Whirl
ADR booked: Character lunch at Tusker House

26th October - Day 14: Hollywood Studios/ Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Star Tours, Stunt Show, Beauty and the Beast
ADR booked " Be Our Guest dinner
As the parks are shutting relatively early I might go watch a movie on the beach at CBR

27th October - Day 15: Epcot/ Magic Kingdom
Fastpasses booked: Test Track, Turtle Talk, Mission Space
ADR booked: Cinderellas Royal Table
I also hope to catch the 5pm Wilson Phillips concert, but as it is my last night I am also wanting to get over to Magic Kingdom, this ADR is so exciting, I should be finishing up around the time that wishes starts.

28th October - Day 16: Downtown Disney
This is my last day and the Magical express is set to pick me up at around 5pm so I will check out have a last wander about and shop at Downtown Disney, use up any snack credits (If I did not obliterate them at F&W in Epcot)
Flight home 9pm (I missed my booking day so I missed requesting a bubble seat grrrr, but will try my luck at online check in the day before. To be honest as long as I am by a window and can get to sleep I won't mind.)

Cattle I'm afraid, but on the way out crossfingers I have requested an upstairs seat crossfingers and I hope to be able to blag one on the way back (I missed the requesting day so I have a downstairs seat so far)

Both seats that I hope to retain are by a window on a back row so I hope I can hunker down and watch films and get some sleep.

Bryn on the other hand is going to continue to work on his selfies while I'm away muchlove

T minus 1 - whistle while you work,

It's Saturday and it's my last full day at home, tomorrow is airport day biggrin

This week has dragged something chronic, ending with a major cock up with a work mailing, thank god my boss is required to deal with it. I've also had a case of the fidgets so I've not got any craft done and my gym membership has expired and there is no point renewing until I get back.

Back to today, the only things on my do to list were cleaning the flat and checking Bryn. So I've spent a lazy day doing that. Good news is - the flat is clean, my cases are now really ready to go. Just phone iPad and kindle to put in my handbag tomorrow.

(Photos may or may not go squiffy, but I'm not at the laptop so can't adjust them - eek )

I have checked my passport tickets and wallet about a million times. This is a really strange feeling, my trip feels less real now than it did a month ago. Maybe it will sink in when I get on the plane.

Tomorrow is airport hotel, online check in and bag drop day .........
