4 Nights at Pop Century, 2 Nights at CSR or 1 Night at Contempo?

Brad's question about resorts got me thinking. We sometimes splurge but we usually find it really hard to justify not staying at POP. We've gotten POP rooms at like $50/night. While I definitely like the nicer hotels better, it just seems crazy to pay twice or 4 times as much. We still do it sometimes, though. laugh

I guess now that we go less often the more expensive rooms make more sense. The time is as valuable as anything so we want to get the most out of our trip. How do you guys pick?

Our is DVC... so were at least staying at AKL: Jambo for a long while. Last night we did talk to my parents, who are in it with us with the points, and we even talked about staying at other places. They said one time my wife and I could stay a couple nights at the Boardwalk! I couldnt believe it that they would suggest something like that! So I know some people will stay at multiple places during the week... but I never personally thought of doing it.

We also stay on DVC points, with AKL Jambo house being our favorite. After that if we are trying to save points for a longer stay, the choice is OKW and our home resort SSR, Being just the wife and I we can get along great in a studio and usually get a minimum 2 weeks at a time. If we "sneak" in an extra visit it's usually Pop.

With that comparison, I would do 4 nites at Pop. As much as I love the Contempo, 4 nites at a value means for nites of Disney perks...after all, you don't get anything extra in the way of "perks" for staying at a deluxe...I can go for EMH whether I'm at Pop or the Contempo Smile Now, the two week vs one week option would give me greater pause...

I don't know as I've never been to any of them but i think i would either choose Coronado Springs or Contemporary.

The decision was pretty easy for us... POP = we can afford to go for the first time... anywhere else = a lot less likely, haha.
I actually really wanted to stay at POP. I think it looks like a neat hotel.
The only other place I would kind of like to stay at is Port Orleans French Quarter.

I know I've said this kind of thing before, and the same is still true now - I will ALWAYS take longer at Disney over a better resort Smile

4 at Pop please!

I agree with that Peg'. Maybe if I could go more often it would change my mind though.

I would go with the 2 nights at CSR. I am sitting here wondering though if the last choice had been the Poly how I would have voted.

REALLY hard one! It's between 4 nights at Pop and 2 nights at CSR. I really like both of those resorts, but I like the beds and pools better at CSR (and hammocks!) and I like that it has a gym.

Thats about how I feel. Were only able to go once a year. If we could squeeze in a second trip... I probably would consider it, but if im on vacation, and even though im only sleeping in the room... I want a luxury kind of thing. Something I cant get at home. Thats just me though... lol

4 nights at pop. We are barely in our room anyway, so going for 1 night we'd only see it for a few short hours while sleeping.

If it was possible to give birth to your very own Expedition Everest then I would be very, very happy...
