4 nights...thinking 2 parks, which ones?

Just joined the forum and it has given me a wealth of info. My husband and I are going for 4 nights and I was thinking 2 parks. My thoughts were MK and Epcot. I have never been and my husband went when he was young. Just wanted to get some opinions on it since I don't know exactly what to expect or what I am doing. mickey

Hey KMC! welcome

I think Magic Kingdom and Epcot are great choices. You can definitely hit more parks in 4 days, but it's always better to go slowly and really enjoy yourself.

When's your trip? Can't wait to hear more about your planning. mickey

It is actually really soon. We are going May 1rst. It was kind of a quick decision, but I am really excited!
I was first thinking 3 parks at first, but narrowed it to 2 for my first time. I figure I will want to stop every where and do everything....

I totally get that! May 1st is a great time to go, too. The spring break crowds are gone and the summer crowds aren't there yet! You'll still be able to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot as well.

Have you narrowed down the attractions you'd like to visit? I know you're going to have a fantastic time! Let us know if you have any questions!

If you are only doing two parks, then I think Magic Kingdom and Epcot are great choices! Enjoy! Are you staying on property?

I have not narrowed down attractions yet. I was thinking of doing the touring plans from the unofficial guide of WDW?

We are staying at the polynesian resort. We picked it since it had the monorail and I loved the theme.

Yeah.... you cant go wrong with Magic Kingdom and Epcot... unless your wanting more Thrill Rides then id say Hollywood Studios.... but its a tough call with just two places.

I think your two choices are great however may I suggest that you get Park Hopper passes just on the faint chance that you need a change, with park hopper passes you can enter more than one park per day.

Thanks so much. I was wondering if I should do park hopper or not, but sounds like the best of both worlds if I do

Nah not so interested in the trill rides. I figure we can go back another time and do more parks.

I also stayed at Poly this year and it's wonderful. Great food and coffee at the Kona Cafe and very convenient location to both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. I would suggest walking over to the ticket and transportation centre to get the monorail to Epcot. You can take the monorail from the resort to go to MK.

I agree with getting the parkhopper, that way you can go to MK during the day then go to Epcot to eat at one of the AMAZING restaurants there!

We stay at the Poly as much as possible, ever though we are DVC members and home resort is SSR. Our January trip is always at the Poly. We will be at the AKL in May and back at the Poly in November! You will love the Poly if you like the South Seas theme.

Great idea about eating in Epcot. I think that is one of the things I am most excited about...

We are going in early May too! Epcot and MK would definitely be my choices if I had to pick.

Leaving next week for an extended weekend. Can't wait. We always get the park hoppers. You never know what you really want to do untill you get there and even that changes on a day to day hour by hour basis. mickey Normally spend alot of time at Epcot but not uncommon to go to MK, HS and Epcot on the same day especially with the EMH.

Hi and Welcome!

I honestly dont think i could choose just 2, EPCOT is a like it or lothe it park, but it does tend to be a bigger hit with adults than kids. I went once as a kid and was a bit like, where are the rides? Where is the parade? so wasnt keen, but I now LOVE it.

I would suggest park hopper passes. You wont get everything done even with 2 days per park so personally, I would want to wander around a bit more and get a feel for the place more, so that next time (trust me, there will be a next time!) you will know more about what you would like to do, and where you would like to go.

If I were going for just 4 days, I would honestly do a park per day, AK is a shorter day so you could spend a few hours by the pool that day too, and maybe that evening watch the fireworks from the beach at Poly with a cocktail in hand Wink or maybe a dole whip ice cream (do not miss this!!), plus HS I wouldnt bother going the whole day, just go in the afternoon for a few shows and then fantasmic.

But then I like to be on the go a lot! LOL
