We're going to Boston for the weekend.

Saturday afternoon we'll be at Fenway Park watching the dreaded Red Sox (I'm a Yankees fan) take on Joy's Seattle Mariners. So we'll be in the minority there, rooting for Seattle.

In the evening we're doing a fireworks cruise on the Charles River.

Sunday afternoon there is a chowder fest going on near Fanueil Hall, which we'll hit before heading home.

Wow that sounds like a ton of fun. We're pretty much just hanging out. We may go watch some of the local fireworks display.

Wow! Action-packed! Sounds like a lot of fun. How do you book the Charles River cruise?

Imagineer: I work in and out of Boston on an almost daily basis and I can not POSSIBLY imagine a fireworks cruise on the Charles River. The river is packed shore to shore with parked pleasure boats all there for to see the fireworks. You could literally walk across the Charles by stepping from boat to boat. To me the word cruise conjures up a vision of your boat actually moving and I do not think that, that is even remotely possible Let us know how that works out.
PS. GO SOX!!! last time I checked the standings guess who was in first laugh laugh
Have a great time.

Maybe they just hang out on the river. We're visiting the fam and eating too much. That's about it for us.

We're visiting with family and grilling out. Hanging out at a friends' house on the lake to see the fireworks as well. A pretty great day planned all around Smile

We're heading to an exhibit at a local museum and then treating ourselves to a fun dinner downtown. Nothing extraordinary, but not our typical Saturday Smile

I volunteered to work 7-3:30 since it would be overtime and holiday pay. clapping
Even though I am extremely exhausted.

Then when I get off work, I have to quick go home and change and then run over to my boyfriend's families house for a birthday party (his brother turns 16 today), we will grill out and hang out . . then everyone heads to the park to watch the fireworks.

It is going to be a long day, and I am already tired, but thank goodness tomorrow is Sunday and I can sleep all day. laugh

Happy Independence Day Everyone!!

It's finally here, we're leaving for WDW in about an hour. We'll arrive tomorrow after an overnight in the Savannah area...the traffic will probably be very heavy on I-95 so we're going to take it easy getting there.

Trip Reports to come....

Wishing you all a wonderful day with family and friends celebrating our great country!! Wave a Sparkler for me!!

yay

@MillieHubbard -- YAY!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip (especially the yummy food part!) Travel safely and HAVE FUN!

laugh Yes, I am looking forward to a nice pay check in two weeks . . if only it was big enough for a trip to disney, I bet if I didn't pay my bills, I could have enough in a month.

Yes. I have to admit I never really enjoyed paying bills anyway. Seems like a good trade.

Nor I . . . in fact I down right hate it. I always feel downtrodden after pay bills and watching all my hard earned money go away.

I think we're on to something here. To be honest I never really liked working that much either and it took away from my time I could spend at WDW.

Yes, it turns out the cruise was in the Boston Harbor, and not out on the River. It was a nice experience, though the boat wasn't exactly a luxury yacht. The boat left from just past the Boston World Trade Center, and went out to the harbor. Before the Boston fireworks started, we got to see the surrounding town's displays. There was one that was really nice, and it was in the town of Winthrop, according to another passenger on the boat.

Yes, the Sox are in first, and will remain so at least through tomorrow, as the Yanks already lost their game today.

We had a great time in Boston this weekend. The game was fun and the weather was beautiful.
