All the Pixar Sequels

So I have complete faith that Pixar will generate great sequels, but someone else (I think it was caitiesus?) was mentioning that it was kind of a drag that they were all sequels. I'd like to meet some new characters. I thought "Up" was the best thing they've ever done. I'm sure the sequels will all be great, just please don't make "Up 2." Also I suppose since Pixar is just about the only company making consistently quality films, I should count my blessings instead of nitpicking.

OK, first of all, the title of this thread has the same number of syllables as Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies," which is now in my head, except I'm instead singing, "All the Pixar Sequels."

That said, I agree and disagree. Pixar DID create new characters in Toy Story 3, so their character-creation machine isn't broken. But it would definitely be great to see some new settings and storylines! They're so incredibly creative over there, I'm eager to see what's next.

Unfortunately, they've taken "Newt" off the docket for the time being, I heard...

I don't know if there's anything else besides the upcoming sequels being developed right now.

'Tangled', Disney's take on Rapunzel is due out at Christmas. Trailers are on youtube already and it looks really funny.

That would be great if that turns out to be a good movie. With all the changes to it I thought it might be a bust. It had kind of fallen off my radar.

I really loved Monsters Inc. I think I enjoyed it more than most. I'm kind of glad they're making another one.

I was thinking about my rankings of the Pixar movies, and even my least favorite (A Bug's Life) was a great movie! It is pretty amazing when that is the case. I think a sequel of Monsters Inc will be really really good.//but I would rather see a Finding Nemo sequel!

I like the idea of ranking them. Has anyone missed any of them? I've actually not seen a couple. The shame!

We haven't seen WALL-E, Toy Story 2, and I'm not sure about A Bug's Life.

It might be useful to list them all....

Toy Story (1995)
A Bug's Life (1998)
Toy Story 2 (1999)
Monsters Inc. (2001)
Finding Nemo (2003)
The Incredibles (2004)
Cars (2006)
Ratatouille (2007)
WALL-E (2008)
Up (2009)
Toy Story 3 (2010)

I've seen them all bar Ratatouille and Toy Story 3. We have them all (except TS3) of DVD which makes not having watched Ratatouille even worse.
My order of preference is probably the reverse of the prder they were made, does this mean Disney/Pixar just keep getting better at story telling?

I've seen all the Pixar films and liked some and loved some. My least favorite was WALL-E.

I'm usually not a big sequel fan (neither was Walt Disney for that matter, but that was a different time, when sequels were more rare than they are today when they are almost expected) but so far Pixar hasn't missed on their Toy Story sequels.

Of the ones that are in planning stages now, I have a bad feeling about Cars 2, but we'll have to see. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree that we're deciding between liked and loved. There are non I wouldn't watch if they were on TV. I think maybe Cars is my least favorite. But I haven't seen a few.

I have not seen Ratatouille, A Bug's Life or WALL-E. I think "Up" is a masterpiece and is by far my favorite.
