All Star Movies

My mom and I just decided to take a quick trip down to see the holiday decorations. The only hotel option in the values was All Star Movies so we are going to try it out (all we know is it's a standard view, refurbished room with two beds). We are flying in Monday night, in the parks Tuesday and Wednesday, and flying home Thursday morning so it'll be a whirlwind and we don't expect to be at the resort much except to sleep. Anyone have tips for the buses, pros/cons, things I should request (which I know are not guarantees), etc. you'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance. Happy Halloween to all who celebrate!

My husband and I stayed at All Star Movies for an adult only trip in July and were pleasantly surprised! We never had long waits for the buses and we were granted a refurbished room in the Toy Story section (at that time only a couple of the buildings were refurbished). The refurbished rooms are really really nice and the food court was pretty decent. Ask for the secret menu at the Roxy in the food court for a fun experience! The bartenders at the pool bar were all great, too!

I haven't stayed here, but I look forward to hearing what you think!

Thanks to you both, especially for the secret menu tip! Looking forward to checking out the resort and to kick off our holidays with a quick Disney trip. I always enjoy reading both of your trip reports.

In case it helps anyone else, we had a great stay at All Star Movies (November 26-29). We were in a renovated room on the third floor of the Mighty Ducks section. It was enough space for the two of us and very quiet. The buses worked fine in the mornings (we took Uber back in the evenings). We found it to be on par with the Pop, which we like as well. While the Contemporary is still our favorite resort, the price of the values is worth it when there are only two of us and we won't be spending much time at the resort.

Glad you had a good time!
