Sad news! I loved going to Disney for Grad Night! I understand the reasons but sad to see the tradition die!

I thought it was sad too...on the other hand, I never even knew about Grad Nite back then. But we did take our senior trip to Disney, so I guess we were ahead of the curve.

Wow, our Sr. trip went to Washington, DC...how dumb was that! I wish I went to a grad night. Wondering, though, did they ever get out of control with all them kids at the same time?

I didn't got to WDW for Grad Night, but I did go to Disneyland - and it was the most fun I'd ever had on a school trip! I can understand WDW's reasoning behind canceling the tradition, but I'm sure it will make a lot of people sad.

How did I miss out, our High School didn't have any senior trip, WDW or otherwise. Granted there were 556 in my class, but still, I feel left out now, lol.

It was pretty much the norm in our area to do DC in 6th grade; I guess that's why we did FL senior year. We were actually the first class to do it. (And we were tiny, tiny, Katrina...microscopic, actually.)

Disney had strict strict rules! Girls had to wear dresses or dress pants and boys had to wear a shirt and tie. If you weren't dressed appropriately you had a to leave. A girl in my group wore a sleeveless dress with a cardigan. She took the cardigan off and was told to put it back on or they would escort her off of the premises. So if they cracked down that much on clothing you can only imagine how strict they were about other stuff.

It was SO much fun though..we were there until 5 a.m. I loved Disney back then but not as much as now. I would love to do that now.

REALLY? I don't remember there being a "dress code" when my class had their grad night... that's so insane! Then again, I don't really remember anyone getting rowdy or out of control, either.
