Any NBA watchers?

Quite a day for NBA basketball today. Most interesting playoffs I can remember. Feels almost like the NCAA tourney where there's basketball to watch all day. Anyone else watching?

If one of the two have to wins I'd take the lakers, but preferably neither.

Thats how I feel... but I think the East is REAL tough this year. I expected the Bulls to do well... but not top dog. Was thinking 4-5... Celts, Magic, Heat, Bulls.... maybe something like that... but I dont think the Heat will make it to the finals. Too many ego's

That's exactly how I feel! Growing up in SoCal and hating the Lakers was an odd combination, but hey that's just how I feel. I don't have the time or patience for the bandwagon fans!

I have two favorite teams.. The Los Angeles Lakers

I've been a Laker fan for ..well.. since forever and a day. I was rooting for them even when Magic Johnson was the interim coach and they didnt make the playoffs for the first time in like 20 years lol... I stick with them through thick and thin.. sooo
3PEAT BABY YEAH!!!

oh my 2nd favorite?

whichever team is playing the Heat.

and when they are eliminated.. whichever team is playing the Celtics.

I'm positively SHOCKED by what's happening to the Spurs. I thought they would punish Memphis for tanking to play against them. Looks like they're just too old.

So these have been GREAT playoffs to watch, but I'm getting really nervous that the Heat are looking so strong and everyone else is looking so bad. I'm no longer confident the Bulls will take them out and Boston's looking grim.

Agreed. Boston and Chicago needs to wake up... even L.A. is iffy

Mavs go for the sweep today. Want to get this over with. Definitely don't want to get another "historical" failure.

And the game wasn't pretty either. I'm just glad Boston bounced back in a huge way last night. Even with Rondo getting injured... My heart sank at that point and then he came back to command the team. Loved it!!!!

well I am a Lakers fan through and through.. but I am able to say the better team won. It irritates me to no end when teams just dont TRY! Like.. it'd be different if they were out there, playing the best they could and lost.. but damn..not even TRYING??

and then the cheap shots at the end? wtf?

What a crappy way to send one of the best coaches the league has ever seen into retirement.

Please please please dont take this the wrong way, but im glad to see a Laker fan saying they took cheap shots. I dont know how many times I would talk to fans at least in hockey or even what happened to Rondo on what Wade did to him and they would deny it till the sky turned yellow and the purple cows came home. But yeah... it reminded me of Cleveland a year ago with LeFail quitting on us here in Ohio.

Im interested in seeing what happens to the Lakers after this. They have a cap that can buy a new team. I would like to see Superman D Howard go there for Kobe. It would remind me of when Shaq went to LA.

lol I'm not one of those fans that thinks just because we lose it was because of some conspiracy or something.
The Lakers lost because they didnt bother to PLAY. plain and simple. They've always thought they could "turn it on" whenever they wanted.. but they couldnt.

Now I'm not really sure who to root for to win it all...
I think Memphis because it's such a gang of underdogs that no one really knows.

As long as Boston (or Chicago, or Atlanta) beats Miami, I'll be happy!!

As a full purple and gold blooded Los Angeles native, I cannot root for the Celtics. EXCEPT.. while they're playing the Heat.

So.. yes. GO CELTICS (but only until they eliminate the Heat) lol

Heh... I understand fully. The rivalry that the Celtics and the Lakers had was amazing. But for the Heat series... ill take it! Game 4 tonight!!!!! I plan on missing NHL Playoff Hockey for this game tonight.

Very nervous about Rondo. I can't imagine he's anywhere near 80% much less 100% and Boston hasn't been very good without him on the floor. And of course it's vitally important that they beat the Heat.

Agreed. I listened to Mike and Mike this morning because they were talking about the Lakers and the Celtics. And guess Coach Rivers was saying that even though Rondo came back in the 4th, he is still a game time decision. He went on to joke around and said... "But I was able to play with one arm!" I laughed at that one... lol

But yeah... Rondo is the glue to this team. Allen, Pierce, and G are great... but they need that guard that can bob and weave to have the D collapse onto him to then pass to the Big 3. Rondo is just one of those guards that has to have 2 people on. You can handle him one on one. I dont care who you are. Wade cant even handle him and you saw what happened when he couldnt!
