Anyone Capitalize on Black Friday?

So anyone go out and venture into the world either last night or this morning? I personally didn't. I was able to get all my stuff online. Best Buy had all sorts of Bluerays on the cheap. So I got like 5 of them... lol. Got Sweeney Todd, Iron Man 2, TMNT, Hunger Games, and Cabin in the Woods. Was very happy about those. But I do have to go pick Cabin in the Woods up though... which could be fun. And if in stock. They have the new Kingdom Hearts for the 3DS on sale. If they have it... im gonna pick that up as well.

So anyone else get what they want?

I worked today until 2:00. I worked enough years in retail that I avoid stores on "Black Friday" like the plague.

I was the first person in line last night ( 12 AM) at the Dollar Tree.... When it opened, everything there was $1.00.... of course, now that I look back on it, I was the only person in line. Hmmm....

I spent today trying to get a virus out of my computer! yuck No shopping for me. On a positive note, I *did* manage to remove it. Unfortunately, I also lost the ability to scroll on my touchpad. Sigh!

I scored a new HP printer for about 50% off and a new GPS for about 40% off, but I got them with online Black Friday discounts. Didn't have to face crowds and got exactly what I wanted. cool

I don't do Black Friday....I avoid malls like the plague at that time. I give my nieces money to buy gifts for their kids for me and I don't have to endure the mad rush.

Too many crazies out! We avoided the crowds and just did one online thing - we got Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii from Amazon. We originally ordered it at $29.99 yesterday, then they had a lightening deal last night and Joe managed to get it for $24.99, with free 1-day shipping! Woo!!

I went out with my daughter, we didn't go to the mall but instead hit a couple of specific stores. We were lucky and didn't run into any crowds. I hear the mall was a madhouse though and a fight even broke out in the food court.

She was able to get $160s worth of shoes for about $70. Not too shabby.

Like I said earlier... I had to go to Best Buy to pick up one of my movies. Plus they advertised the new Kingdom Hearts game. When I got there at 6pm, the place was still crazy. I was expecting busy... but not still crazy. I was surpised by all of the stuff Best Buy still had. They still had the game I wanted, and had a bunch other games on sale too. But knew id get in trouble just for this one game... lol

So I grabbed it and got in line to pick up my movie. Usually a line for that with 3 people waiting takes about 5 minutes. I was in line for about 30. I guess they kept losing peoples items or handing it to the wrong people. So it was just mas chaos back there. Luckily... they had my movie, and payed for my game and left.... AFTER 30 MINUTES! LOL

Nah, just stayed home and relaxed.

This isn't from Black Friday, but it looks like it could be. It was the line we waited in outside of the wine shop in our neighborhood Wednesday around 6pm. laugh

I wasn't going to go out but then I looked at the khols ad. They had Samsonite suitcases for 79.00. I bought a carry on for 79.00 that was normally 199.00 and a medium size 219.99 for 79.00. They both match my big red samsonite so it was an excellent deal. They opened at midnight so it was easier then getting up at 3 am.

I've done Black Friday in the past but this year none of the door busters
were items I needed...I ventured out in the afternoon for some
small things & ordered online...it seem I'm one of those early
in the year shoppers....did I mention I'm done with my shopping?

No, no, no. Ewww. Black Friday. The closest I get to Black Friday is watching TV news reports of the occasional riot.

Black Friday is pretty new here in Ontario. We have boxing day and I stay as far away from the mall as possible. I worked until 5pm so I didn't do any shopping. The only place I'll deal with crowds is at Disney wink

Vibram was having a giant sale on most of their Five Fingers shoes that started the day before Thanksgiving, so I scored a pair of TrekSports (one of their trail running shoes) for 50% off with free UPS Ground shipping. Didn't have to leave the house, didn't have to deal with the crowds and got my 2nd pair of VFFs (love 'em!) on the super cheap. awesome
