Attractions..Love It Or Hate It..

Good Morning Folks...You know there's only one attraction ( and I've done it twice ) that I can't stand, and yet some people think it's great because it's an old Disney tradition..It's those darn Country Bears...Sorry bear lovers, but twice was enough for me...And then again I read some people are shouting for a Stitch execution, yet I always do it and enjoy the screams and laughs..So what attraction do you love and always do that others usually hate..I've a friend who thought COP was a load of baloney yet it's another one we always do as we love it...

For me, I have to ride the People Mover ... I can do w/o Stitch. For DH, it's Toy Story Midway Mania that's the must, and he can do without It's a Small World.

I don't even walk close BY Small World anymore! If I hear it, it stays in my head for days, overshadowing any other experience!

Ditto for Small World. When my son was younger, that was our 'punishment' ride. As in, "if you don't behave, I'll make you ride Small World." Instant good behaviour! biggrin

DH hates It's a Small World (the song gets stuck in his head and he's creeped out by all of the dolls. LOL), but he hates Monster's Inc. more. We've gone twice and both times, he's been the person who got picked to stand up and dance! Magic Mirror and Karlipants are the only ones who have met Benn, so I've got to tell you, this was pure h*ll for him. He is the king of introverts, has two left feet, and absolutely hates to have attention drawn to him. (Somehow I wonder if he would be so embarrassed if he was picked to be the rebel spy on Star Tours.) His favorite is a toss up...probably either Pirates or Peter Pan or ToT.

My least favorite that I've attempted to ride is Mission Space. Nothing like kicking your claustrophobia into overdrive and setting off a series of panic attacks for the rest of vacation wink Much as I, too, do not love stitch (as in the attraction...love stitch the character) or country bears, at least they don't wreck other experiences for me after they're over! My favorite changes daily...probably TSM today!

I also don't find the Country Bears the least bit entertaining. The last time I bothered with the attraction, it was just because MVMCP started in 5 minutes and it was the only attraction I could get to before they started pointing me toward the park exit. But I imagine if I had first seen the attraction as a child I would love it.

Which is why I will always love it's a small world. I first experienced it as a child at the New York World's Fair in 1964 (insert old fart joke of your choice here), and then again in 1965 during the second year of the fair, and then I waited 40 years to see it again during my first trip to WDW in 2005. So for me it's springtime and puppies and ice cream and running through sprinklers and everything else that's good about childhood and I will never, ever, ever go to WDW or DL without riding it at least once (unless it's down for repairs/renovation, in which case I will pitch a tantrum right then and there).

From what I remember its REALLY JERKY!!!!!!! I was traumatized by this ride as a child and finally got the courage a few years ago to go on again apart from the jerky I think its really quite scary! maybe I'm just a little scardy cat I'm not sure but I never intend on riding it ever again!!!

I absolutely hated Snow White's Scary Adventures. I felt like I was on a cheap midway ride at the county fair. Mercifully, the blasted thing is gone now. laugh

The only rides I vowed never to do again are Primeval Twirl and the Astro Orbitor. Primeval because when we we on it, we were 'crushed' in with two other people and didn't enjoy the experience at all. When we went on the Astro Orbior, it was really busy, so we had to share a ship. Having bad knees and both being full grown adults we couldn't get in comfortably, then we had to get out because I couldn't get me legs out. DW finally got out and by that time we had held the ride up long enough, so I ended up riding it alone. Not a very classy exit from the ride after.

Well, I already posted how much I enjoy the Speedway even though a good portion hate it.

In terms of rides everyone loves that I hate, besides coasters and the dreaded Tower of Terror, I have to put Small World. The very fact that I refuse to address that ride by its full name shows how much I hate it! It may claim to be the happiest cruise that sailed the seven seas but 11 minutes of endless playing of that song? No thanks.

For me I love the Carrousel and I think most of the time I am the only adult riding it without a kid. It is my tradition since I was kid. My DH hates It's A Small World. I was able to get him on the ride once and after that he makes a wide berth around the ride. However he loves Winnie the Pooh!

I also seriously dislike Philharmagic. (Falls into the "I don't get it" category for me.)

I love Pirates and I don't mind Small World, but I would ride them a lot more if those boats were not the most uncomfortable seats in the entire park!

I LOVE all the thrill rides!

We ride the carrousel with no kids, too, so that makes at least 3 of us!

I love the carousel too. Although, I haven't ridden it the last couple of trips. Must add to the "must do" list for the next one.

I agree, the last time I went to WDW, I decided to do the Bears Jamboree because I hadn't experienced it since I was probably 10. I don't think I would go again unless forced to by someone small and young, and I get giddy and excited EVERY TIME I visit the parks, so there's not much I don't like. I pretty much love it all. yay

It's a rough ride and if you are on one on the left, one of the dinos needs a breath mint (hubby calls it over used lube oil) but the premise is cute.

I hate the flying spaceship ride above the Launching Pad, Stitch's Great Escape, Captain EO and Mission Space. I've done them all and don't really care for them.

I love Carousel of Progress, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Peter Pan, Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, TSMM, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain (Omega Side), People Mover, Expedition Everest-Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and Test Track.

But I won't ever wait more then 30 minutes for most of these rides.

I love ToT, dinosaur, splash mountain haunted mansion, star tours, the great movie ride and jungle cruise.

I could take or leave the whole of tomorrowland except CoP , I don't really like monster inc, stitch or space mountain spinner rides are all a waste of space apart from dumbo, I blame Michael Eisner for most of them. Tomorrow land needs a really good 3d show, new effects in space mountain, the race track needs to go and a whole make over. I'm really not a fan of disney characters beeping shoe horned in to attractions, I love stitch and I loved alien encounter but...... I'm not a fan of the mash up. The monsters have no place in tomorrowland.

Don't get me started on the idea to change maelstrom to a frozen ride, I love frozen but it has no place in Epcot. The location of the film is 100 percent made up! Saying that I do have a great idea for a princess and the frog version of splash mountain.... No,no,no... I can't let my self get in to that.
