I experienced a few of these groups on my late June trip, but not as much of the "pushiness" or disregard for others as last year. I did have to wait a LONGGGGG time to order a salad at Tomorrowland Terrace because a large group was in front of me. Bless their hearts, the language barrier was at work too, and it just took longer to slog through the Disney dining plan details for EVERY kid.

This time we have "Super Greeters" for all the groups. They are cast members who are from Brazil that know how to speak Portuguese and can talk with the groups easily and can explain stuff to them in a more timely manner. You'll find them at Attractions and Shows. Not sure if they go to restaurants and shops.

I wonder if those super greeters try to explain social graces, or is that just too much to expect of groups? eek

It's too much to expect. They just leave their trash where they were sitting, especially when it rains. Some of them get in line at like 6 pm for the 9 pm Fantasmic.

They will line up 2-3 hours early for the electric light parade too taking all the best spots. This was the first time we didnt go to Fantasmic or see the light parade. Ok we saw the light parade from about 10 feet up but that was it. I loved our spontaneous Disney trip but wouldnt go again in July. I'm trying to talk Angels into becoming a DVC member but we have had such great stays at POFQ its a hard sell. I get migraines rather easily and the chanting singing came close a few times.

I think that's exactly what they do! We were at Blizzard Beach in June when I noticed 2 couples walking past. They were early 20's and the ladies were very pretty, extremely well endowed and both in full make-up ( confused Not swimming? Or even getting wet? I digress) My brother in law said something about " things not commonly found in nature" and I swear both of us just about choked when we got the back view. I'm trying not to sound like an up tight, body-shaming prude but perhaps a day at Blizzard Beach isn't the time to be walking around in that style of swimwear. Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING was out on display. The backs of their bottoms didn't have fabric. Just string. We kind of gawked for a few more seconds and then just forgot about it. About 2 minutes later, 3 cast members (2 of whom were in green polo shirts with the Brazilian flag) came power walking past us, holding some brochures. I don't know if they were looking for the couples in question, if they were going to address their attire or if it was completely unrelated. I DO know that the next time I saw those two young ladies (they were hard to miss) their cheeks had a bit more coverage.

That is because America is really modest when it comes to clothing attire, believe it or not. Most South Americans/Europeans where a thong bathing suit because that is the culture where they live. We were at TL in May of 2012 and saw tons of Europeans/South Americans in thong bathing suits. I think it is just shocking to us because people just don't wear that type of bathing suit here. It honestly didn't bother me at all. I really do not think it's any different than a man wearing a speedo bikini. I also did not think Disney had a rule about it either...I've never found anything about it.

This is off from where the discussion has gone and I wasn't going to jump in, but I just can't help it.

Everytime I see this post topic in the topics list:
"Avoid Walt Disney World," I always think to myself, "the first week of October. That's when I'll be there and it would be awesome to have it all to myself."

Then I remember that this is actually a forum topic and not a fill in the blank statement and I shake my head and move on to the next topic.

I just did it again, laughed at myself (again), and had to share. laugh
