Beach Club Villas

My husband and I are going on our honeymoon in March. We are DVC members and BLT is our home resort. We have stayed at BLT, SSR, and AKL - Jambo House already. For March, we had originally booked AKL - Jambo House (savanna view) but I really wanted to try somewhere we hadn't stayed yet so I requested to be put on a wait list for Beach club and yesterday I got the reservation confirmation that we got it!

Now....since it is just the 2 of us, we of course, booked a studio. I would love to hear experiences, get advice/suggestions from anyone who has stayed at Beach Club (particularly in a studio villa) please.

I haven't stayed at the Beach Club Villas yet, my husband really wants to though. Have you read the guest reviews over at AllEars? They seem sort of 50/50 as to good and bad experiences http://land.allears.net/reviewpost/showproduct.php?product=9&cat=3

Best thing about the Villas is location. You can walk in the International Gateway in about 3 minutes flat! That's why we stay in the Beach Club (not the villas) during Food and Wine festival! I recommend making extra plans for Epcot because it will be so convenient.

I just read them and UGH I am now soooo conflicted Sad I mean, we stayed at AKL - Jambo House this past June, in a 1 bedroom villa and loved it. Now I kinda feel like a dummy for changing a studio savanna view there for BCV....

BUT, we always said we'd like to experience every WDW resort at some point, so, I guess the best time is now when it's just the 2 of us and not our entire family.

Hmmm, Epcot is not our favorite place BUT we do like to eat laugh and since we won't have the kids along we do want to try places we normally wouldn't go to with them. So far we have ADRs at Marrakesh and Bistro de Paris. I hope we're not disappointed.

We ate at Marrakesh in October 2011. It was delicious! I recommend trying the goat cheese appetizer!

I really enjoyed both Marrakesh and Bistro de Paris (particularly Marrakesh).

I don't think you will regret it, especially if you want to try staying at all the resorts! Knock one down! Wink

I have never stayed at the Boardwalk Villas, but I absolutely love the location! Think of it this way, when you have eaten too much at Epcot, it's just a short walk back to the room!! laugh

We have stayed at BCV three times, and really like it. The only note of caution I have is to avoid any room that looks out over Epcot Resorts Blvd. We have found it to be very noisy during most of the day, although you can hear some of the sounds of Epcot at certain times, particularly at night. We always request a room with a view of the quiet pool.

Do the ones by the road look over the green space or do they actually look out onto the road?

Oh and welcome

Thanks for the welcome!

There are a number of "non- quiet pool" view rooms, some of which face truly green space as well as some that have the BC as a view (think solarium). The "road rooms" that I am referring to I think are #s x53-x77 and x40-x53. "Woods" views (which shouldn't have any road noise, although I have not stayed in these) are x24-x51.

To get an actual picture of the room views, as well as the layout of the entire reesort, I would recommend this site: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/views.php
