Beauty and the Beast on Tour

yeah yeah yeah yeah

So Blondie and I went to see the Beauty and the Beast Musical last night!!!! http://www.beautyandthebeastontour.com/ I tried for MONTHS to get tickets and the only option was a half or whole season pass and I wasn't interested in any of the other shows. FINALLY they went on individual sale and I snagged them. I don't know who was more excited!

It was wonderful. It was just the two of us. A yummy dinner at Uncle Maddio's Pizza before we headed over to the Performing Arts Center. We were in the upper section with aisle seats and had a great view of the stage. It started at 7:30 and we got out of there at 10. There was a 20 minute intermission.

The actor who played Gaston, Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek, was fabulous!!!! He reminded me so much of the CM that we met in MK last year. Also Lumiere, Ryan N Phillips was wonderful. Belle was good, but I expected something closer to her "movie" voice and it kept throwing me off.

It very closely followed the movie with some "new" songs thrown in the mix.

I was VERY shocked at how risque Babette and Lumiere were (he smacked her on the butt at one point) I wasn't offended and Blondie giggled but you know how some people can be.

There were also a lot of girls (women) around my age with their daughters. The mom next to me was singing along and crying with me.

All in all it was a wonderful evening and a nice little bit of the world before next month!

I wish I had pics, the sets were beautiful!!! If you click on the link above, they also have an instagram, twitter and facebook page and you can see some of the pics.

What a great girls night out! I took my all grown up daughter to see it a couple of years ago and she kept telling me to stop singing along - ha ha ha!

How cool!

The trucks rolled into Rockford today and blocked off the street near the theater. I wish we could go.

I really wish I had made the drive to Greenville a couple of months ago for Cinderella too. I guess I am going to have to start tracking them and check out a couple more. It really was wonderful!

Allie, that's awesome! yay

I love Disney musicals! I missed it while it was in Orlando but I did see the Newsies which was awesome! I planned on going to Tampa to see it again but that's a no go. I'm glad you had a great outing!

Mandy, I totally agree about Newsies!! I went to see it on the tour earlier this year and loved it so much, I had to go a 2nd time!! I grew up with this movie and I have probably watched it a million times...but to see the musical LIVE is another level of awesome.

Cinderella just came through a couple weeks ago and I thought it was great as well Smile

Cinderella is here now or will be here soon but alas, I am working a lot of hours next week and probably until after the new year.

I saw B&B on Broadway with Toni Braxton as Belle. I am a big fan of her first two albums, but she was awful as Belle. Allie, I'm sure you could have done better.

I just took a fit and bought tickets to Disney on Ice Treasure Trove. Has anyone seen that particular show?

We haven't see that one but have been to a couple others. They are all good, they aren't the most amazing skaters but the shows are cute and a nice fix between trips. One of my favorites was a dad that was sitting in front of us that was more excited than his wife and kids when Mickey came out!
