What do you think that the best Disney World activity to do with a group is? Mini Golf? Swimming? Boat rental? Where you would take a bunch of people to hang out for an hour or two.

Cirque du Soleil in DTD would top my list for a group activity.

I think it depends on what sort of activity you want to do, if you want to all hang out together then disney quest and cirque might not be good as you won't be able to talk and hang together. The balloon at DTD could be a great idea. Or a speciality boat cruise? We often go with family and friends and we usually find lots of different things to do.
Or if you are all adults you could head to the grand for a few hours and plan to hang out at the bar listening to the music with a good drink in hand
