Big Announcements Coming Soon - Let's Speculate!

The Disney Cruise Line is set to make some big announcements over the next month and rumors are flying around the internet as to what they might be! Many people think that they'll be adding two new ships to the fleet launching in 2015 & 2016. Other believe it will be major renovations happening on board the Magic and Wonder. Some rumors have even gone so far as to suggest that the "new ships" might be smaller river cruise type ships for Europe.

What rumors have you heard? Which do you think are likely to be true? Which ones do you hope for most? What would you like to see the Disney Cruise Line do next?

Oh, it would be great if they added river cruise ships. That's on our list of things to do, but we've heard some real horror stories about some lines. I would totally trust Disney to do it right!

More ships are always welcome! I hope they don't get any bigger though, we kept getting lost on the Dream!

I haven't heard any rumors. I would totally love a river boat cruise in Europe.

I am pretty sure I've read that they have said that the rumours aren't true about the new ships, plus that's no where near enough time to have them out by, the last ship was announced years before it came into use.

I read a blog post that talked to the PR rep at DCL. The blogger was told that there were some very exciting announcements to be made, but that they would not be new ships. However, people coming off of the Dresm recently have been saying that Cast Members are saying that new ships are coming.

Honestly, I usually take things cast members say with a grain of salt. Many times already I know more than they do, however every now and again you'll find that cast member who is also a fan and really keeps on top of what the company is doing. Gems to be sure Smile

I'm trying not to get my hopes up for anything in specific. What I *really* want to hear though would be that the virtual portholes are going in the inside staterooms on the Magic and Wonder. That would make me pretty happy.

I knew about the dry dock, Disney hasn't said anything about what will be happening during it yet. However there were some concept images that were leaked a few months back that showed changes to the buffet and the spa areas.

I saw some more fun speculation today for the Magic, including a new restaurant, adult-only clubs and a retrofit to get an AquaDuck!

The best part however is that it seemed like this source thought we would have some official news coming before the end of the week. I can't wait!! yay yay yay
