I love CATS! And it looks like you got a really great view of that lion. When we rode, the lion was visible but not in a position that made him easy to see, just looked like a sleeping beige lump on the ground.

I hope you have an equally nice time in May, and I'm looking forward to the next trip report.

Really enjoyed reading about your trip, alicemouse! My mom, sister, and I are headed to the Boardwalk next month, so I especially appreciate your info and tips on the bus system (getting off early and walking...). You took some great photos of the new parade at MK as well as the AK wildlife! mickey

Thanks, MandaLynn! I hope they have a great trip--it really is a beautiful resort! I kind of wish we had made time to use the pool, but with the parks so close, I just can't tear myself away long enough to swim!

What a great report! It sounds like even with the annoyances, you had a fantastic birthday trip!

Haha...I agree!! I love hanging out in the pool on vacation, but I'm sure we will feel the same on our quick long weekend. At Disney, there is just too much else to get excited about! mickey

I had read in the Unofficial Guide that something like 87% of kids say that the pool is their favorite part of their Disney vacation. Fools! Waste your time in the pool. I'll be at the parks! laugh J/K I like to swim too, but if I really wanted to, I could swim at home for free. I'm paying for park access.

The last time my friend Patty took her niece - all she wanted to do was swim. She could have cared less about the parks so my friend has not taken her niece back. What a shame!

great trip report

I recently learned about Character Palooza and am hoping to catch it in October. Are you going to try again on your next trip?

Absolutely! We're taking DH's aunt along in May and she would absolutely love it! I hope they still do it during Star Wars Weekends...I guess we'll find out!

AliceMouse - LOVED your TR. Helped me immensely! One question though. How did you get so many FP+ in a day? I'm still a little bit of a WDW newbie so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing. THANK YOU!! yay

Hi & welcome, AnneMermaid! We only had 3 FP/day except for the day at Hollywood Studios. When Benn went to guest relations about his Magic Band not working, we mentioned to Heather, the CM that he worked with for nearly an hour, that we had one FP that we hadn't used for Indiana Jones because we were late getting there so there was no point to using it. Instead of just booking a new FP for us, she gave us that one and an extra one as a "universal" FP that we could use for any attraction--including one that we had already been on that day (Hello, Toy Story!!). So, not magic formula for getting extra FP+ selections except to have a crappy time with Magic Bands and luck into an extra awesome cast member.
