Chefs De France...Thoughts?

My boyfriend and I are going to WDW in ONE WEEK (Insert huge smile and huge excitement here!!!) I have officially saved some extra money and I am thinking of adding one more ADR kind of as an additional more fancy restaurant. We are on a budget so some of the really nice places (like Cali Grille) are out of the options. I used to LOVE Chefs de France when they had the half chicken, OMG SO GOOD! But I have not been there for a very long time as it does not get on the normal disney food list *sigh*. I traveled to Europe last summer for the majority of it and this is just another reason why this one sticks in my head so after that long story through me your thoughts or recommendations for ADRs.

We are already eating at Via Napoli, TRex, the Plaza and Sci Fi. My boyfriend has never been to Disney and I am a Disney freak so I tried to choose more "disney-fied" restaurants plus he does not explore food...but France does have french fries! Haha.

Thanks!!

I really enjoyed Chefs de France when I went a couple years ago. I found it to be just the perfect amount of authenticity while still offering some things on the menu that my VERY PICKY cousin could enjoy.

Hmmm... we've never dined at Chefs. I must put it on the list for our next visit!

Chefs has become a must in our family. Dh is a very picky eater but the quality consistency has helped get him to try more than steak and potato. I recommend it to anyone that the menu appeals too. He would recommend the French onion soup. I vote for the shrimp and crab.

Thank you all for the comments! I think I will be adding this to my ADRs. If I do I will be sure to make a review of it!

This is one of if not our favourite restaurant at Disney World. Every time we go we have a different experience, service and a great meal.

Every meal I have ever had hear has been 100% awesome and just as I ordered it even if it was "off menu" in a way of preparation or adding/subbing anything in or out. The restaurant is always packed and we have never received anything other than superb service from our servers. I speak a tab bit of French and it is always nice to have some banter with our servers in their language and they seem to appreciate that I at least attempt to do so. If anything, they get a kick out of my attemt and enjoy correcting me silly

On our last trip, my wife and I both wanted an after dinner brandy, warmed slightly. Our waitress (who it was her first night) found out they did not offer the brandy warmed. I offered a suggestion of asking the kitchen to place some hot water in another brandy glass and put our glass of brandy on top of that glass to warm the beverage.

She did, they did -- and one of the managers came to our table to actually thank us for the suggestion on how to do that as they have had on more than one occasion not been able to provide that to other guests. I even noticed on our bill that we were only charged for one of our brandys and we each had two a piece.

Just a quick story about a great experience there and our fondness for the restaurant. I mean even my profile picture is my wife and I eating here awesome

This restaurant is a must every time we go to Disney. We love the food and the service has always been amazing. We actually thought about eating here twice on our upcoming trip but I have too many other restaurants I want to try so only once. You cannot go wrong here.

We had Dinner there one night and it was so amazing, the waitstaff is probably the best ever. I actually went to speak with the supervisor as Antonio probably had the BEST customer server ever
