Cirque du Soleil discounts for DVC members and Annual Passholders

Just found this over at Mousesavers:

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and up to 3 guests can purchase Category 2 tickets to La Nouba at a 30% discount for performances 3/10/09-6/27/09 (except 4/4/09, 4/7/09-4/11/09 and 4/14/09-4/18/09). To order, call (407) 939-7604. Tickets are then picked up at the Cirque du Soleil Will Call window. You must show a valid Annual, Seasonal or Epcot After 4 pass at the time you pick up the tickets.

DVC Members can save 50% on kids tickets (ages 3-9) for performances through 4/2/09. Up to 6 kids' tickets may be purchased in advance by calling DVC Member Services. Tickets are then picked up at the Cirque du Soleil Will Call window. You must show a valid DVC Member ID at the time you pick up the tickets.

DVC Members and up to 5 guests can purchase Category 2 tickets to La Nouba at a 30% discount for performances 3/10/09-6/27/09 (except 4/4/09, 4/7/09-4/11/09 and 4/14/09-4/18/09). To order, call DVC Member Services. Tickets are then picked up at the Cirque du Soleil Will Call window. You must show a valid DVC Member ID at the time you pick up the tickets.

Thanks for posting this.

Cirque is one thing that we always talk about doing, but thus far have not. With these DVC discounts, I imagine we will, sooner rather than later hopefully. Then again, our next two trips are short ones, and will probably include both MNSSHP and MVMCP, so who knows!

That's exactly the same deal with us and I've heard it from lots of other Disney-philes. We all want to go see Cirque, but we never manage to fit it in! Probably also has something to do with being an extra expense and you figure it will still be there next time. Ultimately I'd really like to see it, but it's always for a "trip in the future," never the next one.

It's just SO EXPENSIVE, and while everyone says it's worth it, I guess I just figure "ignorance is bliss" and save the cash.

interesting that the epcot after 4 pass works. it's not that expensive, so if you bought enough cirque tickets it might be a savings even if you never went to epcot.

Has this been the case in the past, or is it just this year?

Good question. I don't think I've ever seen AP discounts for this before; possibly DVC, though.

Cirque du Soliel discounts aren't mentioned in the AP "booklet," so I think it's pretty new.
