So we are doing 2 days at Hollywood Studios and are we trying to figure out 2 difference counter services we have starring rolls for one day but I am trying to rack my brain for what is really great for the other.
HELP
I haven't eaten at any counter service restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios but I have read some good reviews on Backlot Express.

ABC Commissary is
The Backlot is a bit better but not much. I tend to go there or to pizza planet which is also not good but at least the setting is entertaining...plus Toy Story is awesome. They do need some new food at DHS!
I've only had Pizza Planet (which was "ok" but pricey for what you get) and that place over by ToT/RnRC (do NOT go there! took one bite and threw it away)...
I would go to Beaches and Cream at Beach Club!
ohhhh.. then nm then lol.
I dont know about the dining plan, I've never used it
Pizza Planet is all we do. It's ok. But there is just not much there.
Boardwalk bakery
Yum, have you checked out the Board Walk Bakery?

Oh yum!
Gosh - it's really sad that there are so few options in an entire park. I guess I never thought about it, since we usually plan our special lunch at Brown Derby, and that's about the only meal that we eat there. And salads and dessert can be fairly inexpensive (by Disney standards anyway
)
We have the hardest time there for CS. We always do Pizza Planet.
All I know is... there is a BBQ place somewhere. I think its by Rockin Rollercoaster... and my Dad said it wasnt good at all. That made me sad because I was looking forward to it.

That is probably the place that sells those ostrich turkey legs.
At the end of the game, pawns and kings go back into the same box.
Do they have any real food at the bookstore? Oh gosh - I can't remember the name of it. But I know they had cookies and coffee. I just saw it for the first time the night I rode Star Tours. I sought it out after reading about it here. What's it called? I'm looking at my DHS map but can't find it on there.
Yes! That's the one. Do they have sandwiches or anything there? I'm guessing no, since it's not on the map.
I stopped in the Writer's Stop last year. I couldn't remember if they had sandwiches so I found this on Disney Food Blog. No sandwiches.

Ah yes, thanks, JoAnn! WHAT would we do without the DisneyFoodBlog? I forgot about the carrot cake cookie. That's actually why we stopped in, but it was late at nite - sometime after 10 I think - and they were out. I want to go back there, like, right now. I could use a cup of coffee.
And a carrot cake cookie would make an admirable meal replacement, yes? From memory, the cookies there were HUGE.
