Disney Dining on a Business Trip

Many times business travel can mean your meals consist of late night fast food and pizza eaten on the bed in a cramped hotel room. Yuck! But business travel to Walt Disney World opens up a bright spectrum of delicious dining options.

California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort (a popular convention hotel) offers a fantastic dining experience at it's counter. This side by side seating gives diners an up close look at the kitchen and sushi bar, and if a great place to eat solo. High end food and a fantastic culinary show are highlighted by friendly cast members to chat with during your meal. No reservations are taken for the counter seats, it's first come first served, so stop on by!

What are your favorite Disney restaurants to hit as a solo traveler?

Kristen - I've never gotten to go solo, but I hope to one day. I can't imagine being able to go to a conference in Disney World...that would rock my socks!! But I would imagine that the California Grill would be THE PLACE for me as a solo guest! Great question!!

That is a great question! Cali Grill, for sure, but I'd also think about Narcoossee's for the water view, and Jiko where I'd sit at the cooking place counter, too. The same at Flying Fish!

I've never been to Flying Fish, but I've heard great things about their counter dining!

At the Tune in Lounge Bar in DHS you can order off the Prime Time Cafe full menu, I think that would be a fun one as well. Friendly Bar Tenders to keep you company!

The counter bar dining at Flying Fish produced one of the BEST dining experiences we ever had at WDW.I highly reccomend it if you are lucky enough to be seated there.

Is the counter reserved seating at Flying Fish or is it walk up?

When we went it was walk-up and that is why we scored those seats, we had no ADR's and they said all they had was the counter so we took it and "the rest is history" as they put it.

We never ate at the counter, but have eaten at the Flying Fish several times and it is amazing!. The Cali Grill only tops it because of the view you can get there.
