Yes, it is. Since I can't be there for Groundhog Day I always watch the live webcast. I took pictures this year.

I teach 2nd grade and we study cultures and celebrations in Social Studies and this was one of the things that we did this year was watch the webcast..they had never even heard of it. They got a huge kick out of how the speaker talked in what they called "A Big Huge Voice".

That must have been fun. What did they think of their tuxedos and top hats?

Keeping it off topic lol, I was actually born in Charleston WV. I was only 3 when my parents moved here though.

Scrappy, how cool is that?? Yep, I'm a born and raised WVian, both parents from Charleston (South Charleston actually), but now we're all in FL.

And PS...Shhh. I'm heading to Wilderness Lodge to hang out with friends who are in town this evening...and I think I'm taking DD's mug. We got it when we visited the LAST set of friends staying in WL a couple of months back. DD only had about one soda, so I'm not feeling terribly rule-breakey about it.

Bella,
I taught kindergarten last year and we watched it live, they loved it! I have taught kindergarten for 12 yrs...and this year I'm giving it a try in 2nd! I am so scared of those big 2nd graders! Good to know you're 2nd!
I am so contributing to the off the subject...sorry!

I love 2nd grade! I like how they still love me but they are independent enough to do stuff on there own.

Wow. We are WAY off topic now.
